I find this whole situation highly laughable.

I find this whole situation highly laughable. This YouTube channel has been around (as they claim) for about a decade and creating videos was their primary source of income through YouTube profit sharing. Then, last year YT decided to cut profit sharing with certain content style channels, to include "gun" channels.

Okay, that's YT's prerogative. Most "gun" channels went and created Patreon accounts to supplement their incomes.

Now this guy claims YT is targeting "gun" channels for deactivation for the sole reason they're "gun" channels. It doesn't matter that some of these channels (this one does so in this very video) goes around calling people with different political ideologies by derogatory names or the commentors who follow the channel who also do the same. It doesn't matter that for 10 years YouTube gave this channel a platform to get their message out there and then decided to give the channel a strike or two. To be honest, I really don't know how YT finds and targets channels for "moderation". Maybe it's the channel's owner calling the management over at YT a bunch of pinko socialist communists trying to destroy free speech and their favorite Amendment. But that's just a guess.

I just find it highly ironic that they've had a free ride for about a decade and are now bitching and moaning because that ride might be slowing down.

Again, we don't know why they were given a warning or threatened. It could have been because anti-gun operatives went around and reported the channel en mass. Or it could have been something the host said about politics or the current social discussion about gun control. Maybe it wasn't any of the above. The simple matter of the fact is there are other video sharing sites out there that aren't YouTube. Sites like Vimeo and Facebook, for example. Hell, there are quite a few out there: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_video_hosting_services
