I'm using Bookmarks more and more with Chrome and the Share button/extension. I like the idea of sharing my bookmarks on the web and am looking for two particular features that I can't find in the HELP items. I would like to be able to link, externally, to a list. For example: I have a list called "Photography" and a photography blogger. I would like to be able to add my bookmark list as an external link to the list to my Blogger sidebar, my signature line on other websites, etc. The same can be said for other lists. I think this would be helpful as opposed to sharing via Gmail address/G-Account only. This sort of feature would also be beneficial as a tab in my Profile page -- a bookmarks tab that I can control via the shareability or by bookmark URL or somesuch. I'm not super-web savvy so I'm not sure how that would work.

Why do I have two profiles on Hotpot, er, I mean Places? I think one is the actual "Places" profile and the other (lower) one is my Google Account Profile.

When is a helmet not a helmet? When it's cleverly painted to look like another helmet, of course. Here's some of the interesting paint-jobs I've found on the internet of wonderfully painted motorcycle helmets. Is that Jason Voorhees?   Death's Head? Heard this song on a movie last night and forgot it was Cyndi Lauper. Good song. I'm still not sure of I like her voice as I think a huskier voice would work well here, but anywho, I thought I'd share.

So, I park in a carport. Or, at least, my motorcycle is parked in a carport. What's weird is I was out walking my dog this morning and my roommate (whom I share the carport space with) noticed what looked like a bicycle tire sitting between our motorcycles at the gas tank level. We walked over there and it wasn't just a tire someone tossed that way, but an entire bicycle. WTF? Unfortunately, neither of us had our cell-phones with us and didn't get a picture, but I did get the bike down -- thankfully there was no damage to either motorcycle -- and will be putting it up on Craiglist shortly. The weather is supposed to be crappy this week so I'm thinking I'll have plenty of time for that. Seriously, though, how does a bicycle get up there? Who does that? Why?

I can honestly say I've never sent a picture to a woman (it seems without class to me), however, I know some people do which makes this all the more hilarious. Of course, I don't mind a boobie pic showing up on my phone and you'll see no PSA's from me about stopping that from happening.

Does anyone else have this problem in Blogger? When labeling the post Blogger wants to add previously added labels but don't let me add new ones. For example, in this particular post I apparently already used "vampires" but I could not add "vampire." I've noticed this on just about every post I've made over the last year or so. Is this just me? Is there a setting I'm missing?

Sometimes it can be a pain in the butt trying to follow all the who's suing who going on in the technology sphere. From who's got a similar product or service to who blatantly ripped off an idea to who's name or product, tag line or slogan is too  similar to one's own. I just had a friend call me and ask if I tried to share anything over WMP with her. Of course not, I didn't even know WMP could share with other people. She said she received an invite from me on her WinVista computer, not through email or chat or anything, wanting her to accept my sharing request. Um, aside from a short 30 second video I watched earlier today I haven't used WMP in months and I sure as hell don't go around sharing everything I do with WMP. Which begs the question: are we sharing too much? Facebook and Google seem to think we want to share every aspect of our lives. Google at least learned and now sharing is an option, but FB wants you and me to share everything we do online -- from their infamous "Like" button to their FacebookConnect service. And now our native running programs want to share what we're doing? That's kind of annoying. Not to mention I'm not even sure if Microsoft WMP even does  share anything with other compute

I'm not entirely sure this is actually an embarrassing moment or not as the father seems like a really bad actor, but who cares. I mean really, who cares?

Virginia Letting motos and bikes run redlights While not admitting anything, myself, I've had to run a couple of red lights under these scenarios. You're sitting there, no traffic and the light just won't change. You keep hoping a car or truck pulls up alongside or behind you to trigger the sensor but it's late or you're in a not-well traveled area.  Just the other day, for example, I came to a red light while leaving a friend's neighborhood. I watched the cross-traffic's light turn amber then red surprised that my light would soon turn green. It did not. Instead, the cross-traffic's turn light went green for a few seconds and then straight through traffic once again. It wasn't until a truck pulled up beside me that the light's finally changed and the green light allowed me to turn. At least Virginia is paying attention. They're allowing motorcycles and bicyclists to run red lights that won't turn for them. W00t! I'd love a law like t

Okay, this isn't me, this is an acquaintance of mine who posted this on a local forum that I belong to. But, it's funny and echoes so closely to home in a much better way than I ever could have written it out. The barriers to entry for the IT recruiting industry are so low to be almost nonexistent. While there may be some small percentage of IT recruiters who are capable in some way, my experience has been poor at best. I've had to deal with them on both sides of the fence. As both a job seeker and a hiring manager. I have been in IT since the early 90s with steady progression up the food chain to even holding a Chief Technology officer position. So I know how the hiring process works. I studied advance engineering in collage and have a few software patents to my credit so I am not an idiot by "most standards".  I left the IT industry 2 years ago for a startup in a different industry. That didn't work out so now I am getting back in. Seems nothing has cha

Turns out they changed the meet-up time from 10:30am to 10am and so I arrived a half hour late. I'm not going to lose sleep over it since it's colder than I'd like out there, however it does mean I missed out on a ride today. Never fear, I'm sure there will be another ride tomorrow. :)

From a local rider-friend of mine who contacted Alpine Stars about a bad zipper: First good news in a long time! The zipper on my left Alpinestars boot is shot, and they're going to fix it for FREE! They said that's part of the deal when you buy their gear (which I'm extremely pleased with anyway because of the quality and design). Not that's it's really too cold -- I've definitely ridden the motorcycle in colder and wetter weather, but since I don't really have anywhere to go and a ride today my ride would have been for fun and not for function. Regardless, I didn't go for a ride and I'm sadder for it.    Tomorrow is looking better.
