A friend of mine here in Denver saw these in Boulder, CO I'm not really a hot sauce type of person but more of a peppery-spice flavor kind of person.

I've been a fan of this band since the early 90s.  Too bad they broke up. Blue Collar Suicide , the first track on their  Fizzy Fuzzy Big & Buzzy Banditios Down Together Another great song is Suckerpunch  but I couldn't find a video for that one.

So, Subway's been marketing the breakfast sandwiches all over the place recently, yet I've never tried one.  I usually stop into a Subway once a week or so for a $5 footlong and while talking to the guys, the sandwich artists, I always mention I want to try one.  So, the other day I'm in there and they have the $1 off coupons laying around and I grab a couple thinking it will be an reason to stop in a grab one of those sandwiches.  At $2-$2.50 with a dollar off ( total was $2.50 with a couple of cookies) isn't too bad. This morning I decide to stop in there.  Not only did I get a choice of sandwich , but I got a choice of regular eggs or egg-white only, cheese of choice and any of the normal Subway sandwich toppings I wanted. That was a good sandwich.  I highly approve of them and as a fat guy you know I know good food. :D

Has it been a good day so far?  I woke up this morning and went to the gym. Afterwards I took the dogs to the park and got to hang out with Hot Crystal (Hot Crystal is awesome!).   I was supposed to go to CoSprings and photograph a sheepdog trial but on the way to I find a German Shepherd on the side of the road looking lost. She was just sniffing around dragging a leash along behind her. I stopped and grabbed her, she hadno name tags just a vet vaccine tag on her collar. So I take her to her vet who looks up the owner's information and the number on record is disconnected. The vet's assistant gives me the address and as I drive to the neighborhood the German Shepherd, Booboo, starts getting very excited. Her owner is at home looking for his dog: Booboo. He says he dropped the leash while walking to the dumpster and slipped on the ice.  He offers me a reward and I mention I don't need a reward I need a job.  So, he offers me a job.  Nothing serious, but pay, benefits and co

Last week a friend of mine whom I've worked with in the past asked me about federal contracts.  Specifically, as a veteran, did I have a better chance at being awarded a federal contract than he would as a non-veteran owned business. Yes, I would.  He then asked me if there was some way I could prove I was a veteran, to which there is -- a DD214. He then explained he heard about a federal contract coming up for proposal requests from a company he has not worked with in the past, who cold-called him to see if he wanted to submit a proposal for the contract.  So, he wanted to know if he could get a better inside line by putting me on the payroll and claiming veteran's status. I took the camera to Cherry Creek State Park today and thankfully the air was crystal clear for a good view of the mountains from the park. " People rarely succeed unless they have fun in what they are doing ."  ~Dale Carnegie And yet, when sitting in an interview and asked what I feel is one of the most important aspects of creating a team of individuals who will be solid performers I always get a dirty look when I include morale as a needed aspect to a productive team.  You know, it worked in the Army and it works in corporate environments: a happy worker is a productive worker.  When you brow-beat and micromanage people find reasons to not perform to their utmost ability but rather they visit Facebook, Twitter how they hate their jobs and take longer breaks. I'm not saying managers and employers have to acquiesce to the needs of their employees, but a little morale goes a long way.  Something simple like catering lunch once in a while, doughnut days or something equally simple but morale building.  Of course, a day of laser-tag or another random act of kindness doesn't hurt either.

I was and am a big supporter of Health Care Reform, however I'm not entirely sure about the bill that was passed.  Regardless, the point of the below cartoon is to show how the government is taking a wrong and making it a "right."  Ha ha ha ... enjoy the humor.
