You want to think it's satire, but it's not. Let me break it down for you anyway:

You want to think it's satire, but it's not. Let me break it down for you anyway: 1 - Congress passes a bill allowing Americans to sue Saudi Arabia for supporting terrorism. 2 - Obama, who has been vocally against the bill, vetoes it. 3 - Congress overrides Obama's veto and makes the bill a law. 4 - Backlash ensues. 5 - The passage of the law was obviously Obama's fault, per the GOP POO for two reasons: (a) Obama didn't educate Congress properly (b) Obama didn't participate in the legislative process. Yes, their argument is that the President didn't educate the legislature because Congress shouldn't have to know anything unless the president tells them. And, apparently, Congressional Republicans are upset that the Executive isn't participating enough in Legislative matters. Yes, you read that right. The POO party is now claiming they couldn't do their jobs appropriately because Obama didn't stop them. #ThanksObama http://m.huffpost.com/us/

Let's take a look at this for a second: Google is asking people on Google+ to follow them on Facebook for the "latest insights, news and happenings" to all things Google G Suite related. Okay ... But then you go to their blog.google.com website and click the three "more" dots in the upper right hand corner and you can add the blog to an RSS Reader. Didn't Google once have an RSS Reader? Does that sound even remotely familiar to anyone? What Google needs to do is add public G+ posts back to search results (because Search is so much better than Google+ search) and then post their content to here. Google's Project Ara ( https://goo.gl/dvj0fS ) was supposed to create mobile phones with interchangeable parts. Want yo upgrade your camera? Sure, buy a new one and plug it in. Want better speakers? No problem, plug and play. New processor or memory expansion? Sure thing. But then Google canceled Project Aria ( https://goo.gl/q681II ). Looks like Motorola took a cue from Google, though, and began developing attachable expansion packs to their devices. Awesome. Just awesome.

The Catch-22.

The Catch-22. In your contract with the bank (or any organization) you agree to not join any class action lawsuits and to arbitration. That's pretty cut and dry, par for course. Company screws you over. Hell, company screws thousands of people over. Your recourse? Nothing. Because you signed that contract preventing you from joining a class action suit and forcing you into arbitration. The larger problem is, most competitor companies have the same clauses within their contracts. Your right to settle your grievances in a court are taken away from you if you want to do business in the USA. Hopefully, with this playing out, things will change. This isn't a case of a 50-cent fee added to your phone bill or Comcast showing up 7 minutes late. WellsFargo has ruined the credit and reputation of thousands of people. Maybe Congress will notice. If you haven't heard already, #WonderWoman is bisexual.

If you haven't heard already, #WonderWoman is bisexual. Which, if you have critical thinking skills, you already knew. How does an entire "race" exist in a single sex environment for thousands of years? WonderWoman would either be straight lesbian or bisexual and since she's had romantic liaisons with men, we have to conclude she's bisexual. And now it's confirmed. Let me be straight with you: this doesn't change the character. It only changes the perception of the character. So, if you loved WonderWoman yesterday, there's no reason not to love the character tomorrow. If you weren't quite sure the character was interesting enough, well, maybe this news will put you over the edge. http://www.maxim.com/entertainment/dc-comics-wonder-woman-bisexual-2016-9

I was always more of a Star Wars fan than a Star Trek one, but even as a kid I wondered why TNG didn't follow itself very well. As an adult, I understand that television shows didn't always run as serials, especially in the pre-2000s. Very few shows carried any plot points already built upon into current episodes. I remember questioning that to my mother, it I can't recall her answer, if she even gave one. I grew up in Brevard County (and Trump was just there the other day). In fact, Port Malabar Elementary isn't too far from my mom's house and had she lived there when I was a kid, I probably would have gone to that school. The county is very - very - red. My dad, a Trump supporter. My sisters, Trump supporters. My mom ... I seriously doubt she votes. I've seen a variation of this is headline a couple of times today from right-wing "media" sites. Fox News just happens to be the most "mainstream" of those and while I did ignore this story when it came from the NY Post or WashingtonExaminer, I can't ignore it from Fox. The obvious rebuttal to the article's premise is: so? Does Machado's sex life somehow negate Trump's behavior towards her? Does to whom she decides to get close change what Trump said about her or called her? Short answer: no. These sorts of headlines stories are designed for nothing more than to disparage their target, to try and remove any empathy or sympathy the rest of the world might feel for them. We see the same thing happening every time an unarmed black person is shot by the police. Within hours right-wing sites are digging through their past, their social media and, if applicable, their criminal records. He must have deserved it if he has a past, right? Oh look, he'

Facebook is preparing to launch Facebook for Work as a communications tool designed around "it's familiar." Did anyone tell the marketing folks at Facebook that nothing is familiar until it becomes familiar? For example, I find Google+ much more familiar than Facebook, but someone who's never used G+ might find it daunting at first. This goes for any tool from which OS is on your computer to which paywall and accounting software your company uses. I don't think "familiar" is a big enough draw, not when Microsoft and Google have full suites of options available. At only 12.3" this isn't really something I need to spend $800 dollars on when I can use that same money and buy a 15"-17" laptop with an i5 or i7 processor and full offline capabilities. Why didn't anyone die in Civil War?

Why didn't anyone die in Civil War ? Notwithstanding the directors' explanation, but I believe the post movie discussion would have changed. Has someone died all reviews and speculation would have been about that character and how the MCU is changed or would s/he return, as is common in comics. With no one dying we have greater discussions: who was right, Captain America or Tony Stark? How does this broken team come together for Infinity War ? As much as killing one of the characters would have driven home the seriousness of the dispute, this way is much better. Personally, I wanted the movie to end like the comics series did, with Steve Rogers shot dead in the back by Crossbones. Take a second to understand this:

Take a second to understand this: The Flint city manager assigned by the Governor changed the water source for the city, disregarding the democratic process. The City of Flint reserved their right to sue the state, an agent of which is the one who made the unilateral decision to change the water supply. An advisory board (again, not democratically elected) then decided to take away the power to sue the state. So, the state took away the city's ability to sue the state over a decision the state made. Isn't that grand? http://www.freep.com/story/news/local/michigan/flint-water-crisis/2016/09/18/after-court-threat-state-removed-flints-power-sue/90467828/

I'd been wondering about this ever since Google released #Allo to the world yesterday.

I'd been wondering about this ever since Google released #Allo to the world yesterday. Allo, for those of you who don't already know, is a new chat-messaging app by Google focused on end users while they divert attention from Hangouts to an enterprise only solution a la Skype, GoToMeeting and others. The one differentiating factor between Allo and the other messaging apps out there such as WhatsApp, Telegram and Viber is Google's new Assistant feature. In short, the Assistant built into Allo is an AI (artificial intelligence) you and I, and everyone else who uses Allo, will be training. You get a messaging app that competes directly with Hangouts and Google receives free crowd sourced learning for its AI. But, in order for that AI to work, everything you share through Allo needs to run through Google's servers and that's where Edward Snowden's warning comes into play. The FBI, or any policing agency, really, can subpoena your records on Google's servers w

Let's not wash the post-9/11 (or hellz, any event) discussion with terms like "all Americans" and "complete support." I remember 9/11. I remember the days and weeks after 9/11. I remember a year later and the discussion to invade Iraq. I remember the headlines and the opposing view to not invade. I remember the arguments in real life and the ones on burgeoning social media sites. And for all my memories, I can't recall a single instance where "all Americans" were on the same page about how to react to the actions of 19 hijackers. I do remember the urging of caution. Why invade Iraq when the hijackers were all Saudis? Why invade Iraq when al-Qaeda was based out of Afghanistan? Why invade a sovereign nation that was not involved? Because it was conveniently adjacent? Because Lucifer Dick Cheney seriously wanted to invade Iraq? Because one Muslim is as good as any other Muslim? Because Afghanistan was too far away and we needed closer bases in order

These are the same concerns that keep me up at night.

These are the same concerns that keep me up at night. The (television) media is so scared of losing out on #Trump coverage, just by showing up he's going to be considered a winner. And if he bails...? Well, he's strong and decisive, presidential - not allowing others to dictate to him. _•Trump and Clinton will share the same stage. He is not a normal candidate, or even a normal person. She is. No matter what happens during the debate, it is declared afterward that the one-on-one matchup has “normalized” Trump. So Trump wins. •Because the bar for a successful Trump performance has been set so low, when Trump fails to threaten to punch Clinton, it is acclaimed as evidence of his presidential temperament and general election pivot. Trump wins. •Trump will attack Clinton. Clinton will defend herself. The verdict: Trump was strong; Clinton was on the defensive. But people want strength. Trump wins. •The moderator, NBC’s Lester Holt, will call Trump on a lie. Trump will heap scorn on

That sucks. This officer was terminated for not shooting an (an unarmed) man. The irony here is, this man had an unloaded pistol in his hand. The officer couldn't have known that but used his military training to read the situation and gauge the threat. In dozens - hundreds - of other examples, the person assassinated by the police has no weapon, loaded or unloaded. We usually hear the officer "thought" the deceased had a gun or mistook a cell phone/wallet/plush bear for a weapon and so decided to fire even though no threat existed. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-watch/wp/2016/09/12/west-virginia-cop-fired-for-not-killing-a-man-with-an-unloaded-gun/?utm_term=.dcf24e02b4f2&_utm_source=1-2-2#comments

Marvel has a long history of tackling social issues, from the X-Men, to superheroes like The Falcon, Black Panther and Luke Cage. There was Namorita who contracted an STD and Jessica Jones who was raped on mind and body while in the thrall of the Purple Man. Until Jessica Jones was released to Netflix no superhero cinematic outing really tackled these issues. Sure, Bryan Singer's X-Men had the scene with Iceman's parents and his "coming out" while Captain America and Iron Man have touched on the political aspects of real world vigilantes. But no one has thus far really tackled the social issues in the way Luke Cage is purported to do. http://comicbook.com/marvel/2016/09/09/luke-cage-showrunner-says-they-dont-play-it-safe/

This is a Republican's America. Privatize the prisons and march as many people into them as you can. Reduce their access to a competent legal defense and pay that private prison with money that should have gone to the public defender. Because corporations are good and public services are bad, right? It's not just prisons, though. The GOP has systematically come up with ways to defund education and then called the education standards shabby. They've defunded the EPA and then called it into question when the agency can't keep up with it's oversight. The same with the CDC, NIH, FCC - any and all agencies. Cut their funding, watch them flail and them demonize them for not working properly. And, as seen by this article, it's not just the federal agencies being under funded. For years Bobby Jindal's Louisiana cut budgets, gave tax breaks and then cut budgets even more. When Katrina came to their shores they called out for Federal help why decrying wasteful federal

I don't want to call into question the communications technique of the city's public relation manager, but this sort of ambiguity can greatly affect the decision-making process when one needs to use I-225 during the closure window. I think sequel fatigue will set in long before 2025. Especially if there are any other delays. When did the first Avatar come out? 2009? The*Star Wars* sequels prequels? Highly anticipated but not well received. At this point Avatar was better as a one off. But, well see, I suppose. http://variety.com/2016/film/news/james-cameron-avatar-sequels-toruk-cirque-du-soleil-1201853970/
