Restaurant.com has got to be the most annoying website ever. First, I can't log in even though I have an account with them. After what seemed like three attempts to log in they block you out for ... how long, I don't know.  I went ahead and just clicked the "reset password" option and after 10 minutes or so, the email to change my password finally came in. I click the link, fill out my email and new password, confirm new password and told it's a success. I go to log in with the new password and  ... ..."to many attempts to log in" and my account is locked out. If I didn't have money sitting in there waiting to be spent I'd walk away.

Ooohhh... Some not watered down fairy tales. Originally shared by Melania Telaraña I can't wait to read this. Schönwerth just refuses to homogenize the stories, and so you find that there’s a lot more gender bending in Schönwerth. There isn’t that strict division of gendered labor that you find in the Grimms. The Grimms don’t have a male Snow White, for example, whereas Schönwerth does. Schönwerth has a male Cinderella. He has a boy who wears out iron shoes while searching for the woman he loves, a figure who is a girl in “East of the Sun, West of the Moon.” He has a prince who gets under the bedcovers with a frog so she can be turned into a beautiful princess. I think, if Sony Entertainment Network wanted to go with a non-white Spider-Man they should have written it in with their 5, 7, 9 year plan. Say, three Peter Parker movies with the third one introducing Miles Morales or a different spider-character, then the death of Peter Parker and the reigns taking of the new Spider-Man. But to confuse non-comicbook reading viewers with a new Spider-Man? That just might turn off viewers to the character all together. http://geektyrant.com/news/new-spider-man-will-reportedly-not-be-white

Yesterday evening I was driving to the store for some grocery shopping when I passed the dog park where I usually take the dummies four or five days a week. It was about 5PM and the weather was supposed to turn for the worse so the parking lot didn't have much in the way of occupants. However, down by the creek, along the wood line, were a handful of police cruisers, their lights flashing red and blue in an area that can go years without seeing artificial light.  I counted four cruisers as I passed by.  For the remainder of the evening and then this morning I wondered what had brought so many police out to the dog park. Usually the rangers are called only if there's a confrontation or blood is spilled either by a dog or a person and almost never in the fifteen years I've been taking my dogs to the park has there been more than one or two rangers responding. Last evening there were four or five, county sheriffs, not rangers. I thought perhaps there was a fight between people

More recently, Alexandra Horowitz of Barnard College in New York was able to induce “guilty looks” in dogs simply by telling their owners that they’d done wrong – even when they hadn’t – and tellingly, the strength of that “guilty look” matched the severity of punishment that each owner normally used when the dog transgressed. ~ the article This brings new insight into all those dog "meme's" out there depicting dogs displaying a guilty look after misbehaving. Not that dogs aren't capable of guilt (that's another discussion) but now we can look at the dog and know he's not overreacting or acting like a drama queen. Cats are a government conspiracy to watch you while you're sleeping. It's ingenious, really. The government convinces you to take it home, feed it, interact with it, walk and talk in front of it - all the while, they're recording everything you do and say. Masterful! #thanksobama   Originally shared by John R Fact: Cats shut down when their signal is blocked.

Ricky was definitely in need of help, and the actions of many people brought about a very positive solution for her. The Wild Animal Sanctuary is glad to be able to provide a new home for Ricky, and we can promise you she will enjoy her new life here in Colorado. The Sanctuary has over 150 rescued Black, Brown and Grizzly Bears living here, and all have come from very severe confinement conditions. All of these Bears h

And let me tell you what's happened to our veteran health care. I'm supposed to go to the VA for a chest series every 5 years because they exposed me (repeatedly) to asbestos. Yet it takes me a bloody damn YEAR to get an appointment. Oh, and the eardrum that was ruptured 3 times in submarine trainers? No disability, no hearing aid covered because "it's not severe enough". 70% hearing loss in one ear isn't severe, I guess. This is what we get when clueless fuckin' hillbillies keep voting Republican. Send us to war and then kick us to the curb.  Here's a blanket statement for you: If you vote republican, you don't support the troops that you sent in harms way. Dispute that with your representatives voting records.

Technically, I made it for only January, but I want to try and stretch it out a little. We'll see. Anywho, I'm here today hoping to tell you about assholes. You know, those people without regard for others, who only think of themselves, who can't see any other perspective than their own and hold the rest of the world accountable for not adhering to their perspective. Earlier today we were leaving the neighborhood, stopping at a red light as we wait for traffic so we can turn from the local street onto the three lane westbound street. As we're sitting there waiting a truck with a trailer makes the westbound turn from the opposite direction. Unfortunately, the person in the truck didn't have the items on the trailer properly tied down and a couple of windows - you know, those vinyl framed ones - fell off shattering all over two lanes of

As the motorcycle season wound down last fall I noticed my chain was a little loose.

As the motorcycle season wound down last fall I noticed my chain was a little loose. I didn't think much of it because the weather had turned from 70s to 20s overnight and I took a part time job that kept me up from 10PM to 6am anyway. So, I figured, worse case scenario, I would wait for a warm day and get out there to tighten the chain. A few warm days came and went, but I was usually busy or the sun went down too soon or whatever.  Oh, I should mention: I don't have a garage where I live. I have a carport where the motorcycle spends it's time when I'm not riding it. Therefore, good weather is a must when working on the bike. Or my truck, for that matter - which is not under the carport. So, I went out today to tighten the chain so I could get a little riding in tomorrow. Loosening the axle nut was a pain the in the ass, but I got 'er done, adjusted the chain and put everything back together. Then took the SV for a test ride around the block. Everything seemed good

Some people claimed that the Saudi government was somewhat complicit in the attacks on 9/11 due to the fact that the leader of al'Qaeda, Osama bin Laden, and 19 of the 20 hijackers were Saudi nationals. Now, evidence comes to light that Saudi Arabia's Princes may have colluded to bring down the American President. One of those princes is now the King of Saudi Arabia. But ... Moussaoui, who is making these claims, has been in American custody for 14 years. Is he of sound mind or just making claims he knows will get attention? Why is the Saudi government so insistent on getting Moussaoui's claims dismissed? Politics or do they have something to hide?  Moussaoui's layers tried to claim he wasn't mentally capable of standing trial ... was this a legal tactic or was it pressure by the US government, or the Saudi princes, to sweep these claims under the rug? If it can be proven that the new Saudi king once worked to have the President of the United States assassinated, wi

I have to say, the worst money I ever spent on photography software has to go to on1 Perfect Photo Suite 8. If you haven't noticed, I don't post as many pictures as I used to. Not that I'm not taking pictures, but the thought of even using this program to edit (RAW) just makes me want to not bother. And that's why I haven't been sharing photos for the past 7 months or so. I have tens of gigabytes of RAW files to make presentable but on1 makes me not want to even push the shutter button. And since I'm not a pro - ie: this is luxury money for me - I can't afford to just go out and buy another program whenever I want. So thank you on1, for the first time in 20 years you've made photography not fun for me.
