This is for week 4 of HackThisPhoto. I kept getting an old school vibe from this picture, like you'd find it in your parent's old photos of thier parents or something so I went ahead and tried to make it a little vintage without looking vintage. I don't know if I succeeded but I like the final result.

Think about it ... that's right: democrats. The elderly tend to vote Democrat in elections and Tennessee gerrymandered the people based on a qualification they knew couldn't be met. Find Deacon! Originally shared by Matt Lerner *PLEASE SHARE THIS* A good friend of mine, Karen Thomas, had her dog run away this morning. His name is Deacon and he is about the most adorable beagle you will ever see. If you live in or around North Carolina USA, specifically the Charlotte/Mint Hill area and see Deacon please send her a message on here. Like most people, Deacon is more than a dog to Karen, he is her family as well. He is not microchipped nor does he have his ID tags on him but he is wearing a collar. Most of you know I don't ask for a lot when it comes to myself on here. I'm calling in my favors tonight. All I ask of you is to keep an eye out for the little guy and reshare this post.

Hey, they're talking about Googl+ on CNN. More specifically, they're talking about letting the childrens in. Of course, once again they're comparing G+ to FB and somehow FB seems to be gathering 100 million people a day while Google+ is merely at 90 million.

So, I'm perusing Google+ this morning and I see this video posted by Scott Reibolt  about an over-zealous fan of the Baltimore Ravens . It is Baltimore, isn't it? I'm going on memory here and that sounds right. I'm also assuming this is from a recent game. I really don't know since I don't watch football, or any sport for that matter. Why, you might ask? Well, because it never made sense to me. I don't understand why people spend their entire days huddled around a TV hoping someone they don't know does something they can't do. I mean, if Player-A makes a touch-down, how does that affect the world? it doesn't -- it affects Player-A's bank account. How does it affect anything, really? It doesn't, except Player-A might get a new contract or get a better deal if he goes to a new team. But does it change anything important? Is there suddenly world peace? Are terrorists going to drop their plans? Is illegal immigration going to go awa

Giving everyone else the chance to take a sneaking glimpse of the world at one precise moment in time. SOPA and PIPA, or Protect-IP as described by The Pirate Bay: (I've copied it over here for you) INTERNETS, 18th of January 2012. PRESS RELEASE, FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE. Over a century ago Thomas Edison got the patent for a device which would "do for the eye what the phonograph does for the ear". He called it the Kinetoscope. He was not only amongst the first to record video, he was also the first person to own the copyright to a motion picture. Because of Edisons patents for the motion pictures it was close to financially impossible to create motion pictures in the North american east coast. The movie studios therefor relocated to California, and founded what we today call Hollywood. The reason was mostly because there was no patent. There was also no copyright to speak of, so the studios could copy old stories and make movies out of them - like Fantasia, one of Disneys biggest hits ever. So, the whole basis of this industry, that today is screaming about losing control ove

That was spooky. I had to go help my mom with a computer issue (in short she couldn't figure out how to edit her resume, which my brother sent to her from his computer as a PDF) and I had to use her Internet Explorer and her AOL defaults. :shudder: Anywho, she's now on Chrome, but still on AOL. She's using OpenOffice her for word processing since she likes AOL (I'm not sure why and she just gets defensive when I ask questions. In all fairness I asked like you would ask a kid, but it's not my fault she says she knows about this stuff). Anyone have a good (free) PDF editor? I told her to copy her resume over to OOo and save it there.

Not only could Costco, Sears, Target and your "review" blog be held accountable and the offending images be forced off the sites, but Google, Bing and Yahoo could be forced to unlist these domains in search results. I remember a few years ago a motorcycle forum I was on was sent a cease and desist letter because it used a stock photo of the motorcycle on it's banner. The owner of the website laughed, posted the letter and made his official response: FU. The site was owned by a non-American and hosted in another country. Could you imagine the whole site being "black-listed" because of the one image? And the letter clearly explained the manufacturer didn't have any problem with the image being used, but the website moderator/owner didn't have any problem with NSFW material

"They can’t solve the problems of unemployment, they can’t solve the problems of the deficit.

"They can’t solve the problems of unemployment, they can’t solve the problems of the deficit. Yet as soon as a lobbyist shows up with $94 million, Democrats and Republicans line up to co-sponsor it. Something is wrong.” That about sums up the whole process perfectly. Thanks, alejandro carabes! Originally shared by Alexis Ohanian I got up extra early for you, Internet. Discussing #SOPA and #PIPA on CNN with Soledad's O'Brien. I appreciate them giving this awful legislation attention. Probably NSFW due to language, but still a little funny. Especially since the soldier in question isn't pissed about being recorded, as he should be. Actually, IcyHot would hurt, but still... I'm so glad we didn't have access to cameras like this when I was in the military. Ha ha ha ha! http://www.worldstarhiphop.com/videos/video.php?v=wshhd26ORGSWw5fwxVE2

Looks like Woot.

Looks like Woot.com is having a woot-off today. That includes numerous woot sales for an hour or so, each. I'm not sure on how long the sales are on there, but there are. Right now, for example, there is the Toshiba Thrive 32g tablet for $324 (including shipping). If I had $324 ... http://www.woot.com

Hack This Photo Week 2 Didn't really do a whole lot to this one. I cropped some of the dark off the bottom and added some saturation to the clouds. Again, just using Picasa. I really do love the way the blues and reds contradict each other. I can't help but think of Superman on the Kent Farm. Hackthisphoto HACK THIS PHOTO

Anthony Quintano of NBC/Universal is a Community Manager? Is he a Community Manager with prison guard training in that anyone who appears out of line no matter their approach, especially if it is critical, is in fact out of line? Or, is he more like a petulant child who didn't like being questioned and ran to mommy and daddy to get the other boys from questioning him? Fantastic!

Fantastic! I don't like snobs in any field but it is especially annoying when I run across them in a field I am interested in. That being said, I started taking pictures at 15, or so, and I know my way around a darkroom. Because that's how I roll! http://aaronhockley.com/photography-wrong/
