I've been reading about this for years.

I've been reading about this for years. Heck, I even had a argument with a guy here on the Plus (years ago) who claimed this was never going to happen. And now it's happening. Personally, I think they should have started with sidewalks and driveways, maybe the occasional parking garage, but what the check, 200 miles of interstate isn't a bad beginning, either. Yep, John Poteet and I went back and forth on this: https://plus.google.com/+Earththeoperatorsmanual/posts/Sq7TpCNmJPE But, a test run said they're surprisingly productive: https://plus.google.com/+BetsyMcCall/posts/hafBdapQrfB http://www.gamengadgets.com/solar-panels-will-be-carpeted-on-u-s-missouri-route-66/

Ran up to the store to get something for dinner and see this CBR in the parking lot with it's lights on. At first I thought, perhaps, the rider was using his parking lights, but then I noticed the left-hand blinker was also going. After I snap this image, I go inside and find a guy in a motorcycle jacket and ask him if that's his Honda. He says it is, to which I reply, "Dude, you left your key in the bike." He rushed out, I'm assuming to grab his key. No thanks, no nothing.

There's a stereotype about people who become cops that states they're overcompensating for something by wearing a badge and carrying a gun. This officer proves the stereotype correct: One officer, Dominick Izzo, says he realised the extra film was being taken in May as he looked over his footage, and as such is one of the officers said to be "humiliated, embarrassed and greatly upset. Why are you humiliated and greatly upset, Officer Izzo? What do you have to be upset about? Is it a size thing? Good on him for noticing something weird and making the call. See something, say something. Originally shared by Marla Caldwell This trucker Kevin Kimmel is my hero for today. Trafficking in humans is horrid and horrendously profitable. Sex slaves are particularly profitable, because rather than selling once, as with an agricultural or domestic slave, sex slaves are sold over and over and over again, rather strong motivation for people without consciences to engage in such. Kimmel called the police, but what he didn’t know was the young girl was not only a victim of sex trade, she was also a victim of torture. An Iowa couple, Aldair Hodza, 36, and Laura Sorensen, 31, have been charged with human trafficking. The victim was found starved, disheveled and had  evidence of extreme physical abuse, sexual abuse — and torture. The details of the young victim’s torture are inhumane and Kimmel most likely saved this victim’s life. http://www.dailykos.com/stories/2016/6/24/1542136/-Trucker-sav

Was just out walking the dummies when I passed a dumpster and noticed a stack of books sitting to the side. I grabbed them all with the intent of taking them to the take-a-book/leave-a-book lending library at the local park. Suddenly, this woman walks up to throw her garbage in the dumpster when she takes an interest. Noticing most of the books were "why you can't find true love" and "it's not you, it's him" types, she says, Obviously a woman left these. A woman after my own heart. Do you mind if I take some? Have a field day, I tell her. I was just going to take them to the lending library at the park. So, she took about five. These were the rest. Then there's the library before and after. Not in that order because Photos doesn't let you order them to share.

Competition is good, even when it's against fan favorite, Google. Personally, I don't believe this means handset makers are trying to leave Android, but rather, unbuckle from their reliance on the mobile OS. Samsung's been making standalone services that directly compete with the Big G for years now and it was only a matter of time before they decided to take a few steps away from Android and focus on their own products. The question is, are consumers ready to decouple from integrated Google? Are Samsung and Huawei willing to gamble on enough consumers jumping ship? http://bgr.com/2016/06/23/googles-two-biggest-partners-are-both-working-toward-ditching-android/

Naturally, after I ordered the replacement battery for my OnePlus (it's enroute, at the moment) I found the culprit draining my existing battery in 4 hours or less. Turns out it and as Microsoft Corporation's OneDrive app, drawing a whopping 23% of my charge. I had two choices: turn off (photo) auto-upload or remove the app altogether. Since I generally like the app, I decided to turn off the auto-upload feature and see what happened. And look at that: my phone's been off the charger all day and I still have 6 hours, or so, left. Also naturally, a OneDrive update came overnight last night, so that may also affect the draw on the battery. Either way, soon I'm going to have a new battery replacement for no reason.

After 10 hours on the charger last night my cell phone, a OnePlus 1, decided it only wanted to charge to about 38%. I have to wonder if that is why my phone wasn't holding a charge all day anymore and I just didn't notice, when taking the phone off the charger, that it wasn't completely 100% charged. Or, maybe, it was and it was just discharging far too quickly because it's old (electronically speaking, of course). So, I used the Google and found a DIY battery replacement for the One+1. Following trends in the cellphone design, the One+1 uses a non-removable battery. It would be so much easier to have a replaceable battery, and have a spare on hand for those longer than average days away from a charger, or while traveling, where it can be swapped out as needed. Since my One+1 is still relevant - that is to say, it's not obsolete - I decided to buy a $15 bettery on eBay and replace it myself. Order the replacement today and with luck it will be here by the end of the

This might be a good plan of action from Facebook's perspective, and it may very well help brick and mortar stores convert ads to sales, but I don't trust Facebook enough to even put their app on my phone much less trusting them to not use my location data in some nefarious way in the future. What really alarming is the precedent this sets. Recently, a federal appeals court recently determined that your credit cards, debit cards and prepaid cards are not protected under the Fourth Amendment because you willingly hand them over when making payments . So what happens when the courts then decide you have no rights to not being tracked because you willing allow your phone, carrier and assorted apps to track your every step ? Police agencies can already claim you're carrying too much cash to be on benevolent business and "confiscate" your belongings. Now they're allowed to "confiscate" your bank or credit accounts as well. If courts are already taking cue

I wondered about that.

I wondered about that. I moved to Colorado just a week or so before the shootings at Columbine and I remember clearly the news showing the dozens of officers standing around while Dylan and Klebold were shooting up their school. Then the other mass shootings where we saw the exact same behavior from different departments across the country. And most recently in Orlando where the police gave the shooter carte blanche for hours while they waited. It seems to me that cops have no problem shooting unarmed men out in the open, but an armed one actively killing others? They wait. Like it or not, Bernie Sanders' presidential campaign is over.

Like it or not, Bernie Sanders' presidential campaign is over. In my opinion, his best course of action is to take what little momentum he has left and try to influence the election of progressive candidates to Congress and state governments across the country. However, Sanders and some of his supporters still believe he has a chance at the convention. Let's be plain here: he doesn't. Not for the presidency, at any rate. He sparked a revolution among younger voters and those voters will vote, not only in this election but in future ones as well. It's time for him to take his momentum and influence real change. You don't have to be the president to do that. In short, he needs to adjust to changing conditions before he becomes a caricature of himself. http://www.vox.com/2016/6/8/11881130/bernie-sanders-politico
