If Facebook is considering this move, does that mean +Google is already using such technology?

If Facebook is considering this move, does that mean +Google is already using such technology? Or, does that mean Google will play 'catch up'? I don't know... The more I read about data harvesting by companies and the NSA ( as well as all those governments' programs we don't know about ) the less I want to be online. There is an acceptable trade for using a service that is provided for free and I accept that, but knowing where my mouse is or how long I stare at the hot model, combing through my cookies and seeing where I've been without even being logged into a site? What's next, forcing people to use SM or creating a national registry for all online activities; being forced to log into the internet with a gov ID or having to give up connectedness? http://m.us.wsj.com/articles/BL-CIOB-3152

I've always said Nokia makes a solid product and I miss my Nokia handsets. Too bad they climbed into bed with Microsoft, exclusively. Granted, my Note II took a swim in a creek nearby, but it was only submerged for about 10 seconds. After spending a day in a rice bowl, it works fine (in fact I'm posting from it now). I had a hard time breaking old Pearl as well. If M$/Nokia is smart, they'll use this as a marketing move against the fragility of other manufacturers. http://m.timesofindia.com/tech/tech-news/hardware/Nokia-phone-lost-underwater-for-3-months-still-works/articleshow/24879787.cms

If I remember correctly from the novelization, Luke did indeed go dark during his saber duel with Vader. He only came back to the light side once he removed Vader's hand, saw the mechanics, and realized he what he was becoming. I do believe Han should have died in ESB and the battle on Kashyryk would have been much better than Endor. What do you think about these 'behind the story' claims? Should Yoda have died? greg schulte,  I'm having a problem with my truck starting and I need a second opinion before I go buy a part. If you don't mind giving some advice, I'd appreciate it. Last Saturday I woke, loaded up the dogs and took them to the park. An hour or so later I left the park and came home.  No problem. Shortly after that, maybe 20 minutes, I go to leave and my truck won't start. I put the key in, turn it ON, twist to crank the engine and I get a single click and nothing else.  There is no starter crank, no nothing going on -- just a single click . I checked the battery connection and the power connection to the starter which both seem firm. No apparently corrosion on the battery side, either. The starter side has some oil caked on it, but my truck has had a slow oil leak (like a few drops a day) for years. It's a 1997 5.7l v8 Tahoe. From reading online I am under the impression the click I hear in the solenoid engaging (what the heck is a solenoid?) so I'm thinkin

We've all seen those great time-lapse movies before, where an image is taken from the same location every second to every minute and then compiled one after another into a moving photograph. This takes it the other way, combining all those images into a single still frame. Kind of cool. Watched all available episodes of  *Sleepy Hollow* tonight (at Fox.com) after hearing it was pretty good. As far as made-for-TV supernatural thrillers go, it's not bad. A couple of little things bothered me,though. For example when John Cho's character comes back to life in the morgue and then goes around town conducting his master's tasks, no one seems to notice a body is missing from the morgue. Not only does no one see him get up and walk away, but no cameras catch him in the act either. What police station doesn't have cameras, at least one the entrances and egresses? Then he gets in a patrol car and drives off. No one was missing a patrol car, either? Really? Comparatively, I'd place it second to Supernatural as far as this genre goes; Haven is just to bland and Grimm is really really boring. I did catch something the other night called The Witches of East End ( http://www.mylifetime.com/shows/witches-of-east-end ) which could have been decent if not for the

Tomorrow PBS has a show about superheroes premiering. This is a clip of Todd McFarlane talking about why he wrote his flagship character, Spawn , as a black man. He describes a scenario he wanted to use during his tenure on the Spider-Man books as a catalyst for why he thinks there should be more heroes of color in the comic genre. I stopped reading comics regularly a couple of years after McFarlane left Spider-Man so I don't know if this sort of scenario ever played out and I hope it has. If not, then it should.  Truth be told, Spider-Man could be anyone. As far as the Marvel Universe knows, he could be a black guy, he could be Jewish or Latino. Marvel Entertainment needs to drive that home and truly make him the hero of the people. You know, after this crazy Doc Ock Superior thing plays out. ;) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wsm65scfls4&feature=share

Just a little image I captured today whilst out walking Dumb and Dumber at the park. The sky was actually amazing, but the sensor in the Note II wasn't sensitive enough to grab it and the tractor properly exposed.  I wasn't going to share it for that reason alone, but once I logged into the G+ from my computer it was staring at me in the instant upload box; edited with the in-Chrome editor and this is what you get. (Yes, yes, I know it's not technically Friday, nor is it technically #transportationtuesday . But, what are you gonna do? ;)

Tragic and cowardly.

Tragic and cowardly. Don't get me wrong, I'm not one of these no-tolerance people who believe children should be mindless drones in and out of school. Bullying is a rite of passage for all of us, whether that bullying comes from peers, siblings, parents or elsewhere. It makes us stronger and teaches us how to cope in a world where principals and teachers aren't walking the halls. While bullying in moderation might be beneficial to us in the long run, bullying someone who can't understand what's going on is the real travesty here. The poor recipient can't understand why these others are out to get her; she can't understand the depravity of these people who are attacking her for no reason other than she won't defend herself. They're the cowards. Cowards who use anonymizers, who attack from the shadows, who act without integrity or honor. Shame on them.
