Some of the best experiences I've ever had have been when I've been around people who don't speak a word of English. My favorite was a little hole-in-the-wall Korean restaurant in Columbus, OH. We didn't know what we were ordering, we just picked something that looked good and pointed. What we got was the most authentic Korean experience I've ever had. They brought out a ton of tiny little dishes full of things we couldn't identify(though we know one was kimchi) and then eventually the entree. The funny thing was it was a chicken dish and the chicken had been hacked apart with a meat cleaver and there were broken bone shards, etc. to go with it. Loved every second of it. Hope you get a similar experience, even if you speak their language..

Food was great. I used to go to these sorts of holes in wall all the time but my current mix of friends consider them ghetto so I rarely get the chance.
We're all about them here. We're not looking for the new and shiny, we're looking for good food.
