If you haven't heard yet, Boehner is retiring from Congress. The more conservative wing (read: Tea Party) of the GOP is calling this a win since they claim Boehner has been holding them back from truly foiling Obama's agenda.

This is good news, a leaderships fight now, with the budget battle, shows the Republicans to be unfit and incapable of governing.... And the funsy teabaggers will not go along with whoever the old line party guard want to replace boner ( intended)

Interesting; given they have a majority, if there was anyone with enough sway to force him out, he would have been forced out, rather than retire.

"Some lawmakers have mounted a challenge to unseat him from his leadership post." They are annoying him out.

They have indeed "annoyed him out," Shannon Ware. As of Congress coming back into session the younger "Tea Party" libertarian-style Republicans have already been threatening him with challenges again. He's probably tired of defending his position. I know I would be.

Jason ON   The "Tea Party" is in no way libertarian.   One advocates Constitutionalism the other anti-government and free will.

So... even the libertarians and Tea Partiers get confused about the two, the Tea Party was originally funded by the libertarian Koch brothers and nearly 40% of Tea Partiers consider themselves libertarian and they're two separate beasts? If it quacks like a duck ...

I'm shutting down Google+ for the night and quite possibly for the weekend.

I'm shutting down Google+ for the night and quite possibly for the weekend. Why? This stupid #gifwars thing people are so proud of. This Adam Black guy said he doesn't like gifs and now everyone is mass trolling him. Having been mass trolled like this I can relate to him easily enough. Have an opinion and the collective might of Google+'s lower class denizens jump on a bandwagon. I just saw a post where someone wanted to jump on board and had to get clarification she was tagging the proper Adam Black. She wasn't even connected to him ! Nor was she a part of the original discussion. She just wanted to follow the herd. When I called her out of it she claimed, "one gif doesn't make a troll." Perhaps not, but she's contributing to a larger troll effort. One straw doesn't break the camel's back, but thousands will. So, tonight, Google+ disgusts me. It probably will tomorrow as well. And possibly Sunday. I gave up Google+ for two months this spring
