Propaganda is a staple in every PR or PA professional's handbook of tools. It's used to subtly spin ideas, events an concepts into a narrative that bequeaths sympathy, understanding or blame anywhere but at the source.

How do you identify propaganda? There are many ways, in fact, but a simple rule is to look for the adjectives, suggestions and qualifiers. These will help diagnose propaganda from fact. But, be careful. Too many people have fallen into the proverbial rabbit hole of trying to identify propaganda and ended up believing in vast conspiracies because even the truth appears as propaganda to them.
