Castle Rock Ringers at the Denver Public Library

On the Friday after Thankgiving The Denver Public Library's City Life organized a brief bell concert with the Castle Rock Ringers, a volunteer bell choir out of Caste Rock, Colorado. Instead of fighting with Black Friday shoppers I decided to drag my laptop on down to the library, get some writing done, and listen to the bells with their renditions of traditional (Christmas) holiday music. The view from my perch wasn't ideal, but other's had taken up better seats on the second balcony. As it worked out, I ended up talking with the wife of the conductor for the better part of the concert. 


The below video was taken by my Note II with no additional microphones or tuning. I only took video of the one song to provide an example of the music from that evening. And while I will never encourage people to visit Facebook, this is their Facebook Page which seems to their only web presence for more information.

I don't make a lot of personal posts so please bear with me. #Rufus hasn't been doing well for the past week or so. I mean, he's 13 (at least), and has slowed down due to age, but the past week or two he's been acting like every movement is a Herculean effort. A few times in the past couple of weeks his rear legs have given out on him completely to where I've had to pick him up and carry him which is, in itself, telling. Rufus has always hated being carried and struggled continuously when I did so. Yesterday while petting him I noticed two golf-ball sized things up under his chin. Now, they may be benign lipomas as Rufus is covered with them (one one each thigh, one on each shoulder, one on his chest and a few smaller bumps here and there) or they may be indicative of something else. I'm no vet and aside from emergency medic battlefield training I have no medical experience whatsoever, but these new things seem to be where your or mine lymph nodes are located....

Did you know dog meat is served in restaurants in South Korea? I didn't. In the United States and most western countries, Fido is a family companion and while it's not ethical to judge another culture by our standards, anyone who doesn't at least (humanely) butcher the animal first is acting without proper care. South Korea relies on western consumerism for their economy and needs to be aware that we do not accept the practice of skinning and boiling dogs alive. Originally shared by April Benney Over 6,000 restaurants in South Korea are still serving dog meat even though it is now illegal. In many Asian countries dogs are boiled alive or skinned alive when slaughtered. It's an unbelievably horrendous & torturous way to die. What's so innovative about the Apple Watch? What has Apple done since the launch of the iPhone that was truly innovative? I read articles all he time about features this and software that, but I haven't seen anything where it was definitively proven where Apple has been cutting edge for years. christopher rizzo called me a troll for questioning his religious adherence to Apple consumerism.  So, can someone explain where Apple is truly innovative?
