They'll have to pry Necromancy from my cold, dead hands!!!

Oh, and they forgot Ghostbusters, the Everlasting Gobstopper, and Christopher Walken.

Damn, I've only done or currently do, 33 of these.

wait, does temple of set count, it's an outgrowth of the church of satan?

What group published that?
Jason ON said…
I have no idea, Robert Martin. Looks like a picture from a newspaper or perhaps a newsletter sent out by a church.

I had an awesome black cat named Set a couple decades ago.

Was an awesome cat.

Is missed.

A quick Google search and it looks like it is a hoax "handout" that is designed to parody the Evangelical tools at Chick http://www.chick.com/default.asp
Jason ON said…
Awww... this would have been a better story if someone was handing them out seriously. Way to be a spoil-sport, Theresa Reel!

Wait.... Werewolfs go to hell? I thought all dogs go to heaven! And what is Marihuana?

Wow, that's quite the list.  I have to wonder if the person who first came up with such a list actually knew what each item was.

Um, this particular item "might" be parody, but I seriously doubt it. Assembly of God and Gospel Publishing House, based in Springfield. MO, and home to the likes of Ashcroft and the rest of that lot publish shit like this all the time.

I've seen most of these items on real lists, the only giveaway that this particular one could be a hoax is using "LOTR" instead of lord of the rings (which I have seen), and I've never seen vegetarianism on an actual "satan" list.
trench coat said…
Are you serious? According to most belonging to the groups I previously mentioned, Vegetarianism infused Hitler with the desire to idolize the Antichrist.

I know this stuff first-hand having been born and raised in the buckle of the bible belt.

The LOTR thing is just a means to attract the youth with their own terminology. Werewolves were added, no doubt, because of those stupid glossy vampire/werewolf films that wanted to be the new Harry Potter. They'd go after The Hunger Games too, but it features bows, arrows, and hunting... which these people are actually quite fond of.

See: Bass Pro (Also Springfield-based, and newly home of the NRA Museum).

Praise Jesus.
