[1] Most people don't know who these people are which means no built audience which means no big budgets which means throw out most of the team stuff and anything with a lot of CGI. Sure Marvel's been successful about making entertaining movies with class 3 characters, but no one else has even made a decent Marvel movie with a class 1 character (except for Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2) much less a good movie about a little known comic book.
[2] A lot of these sucked. WildC.A.T.S.? Seriously? Youngblood? Both were Avengers/XMen ripoffs and both were terrible comics. The WildC.A.T.S. cartoon was atrocious. Seriously, go look it up on Youtube. Now, I'll admit, I have never read DangerGirl (which seems like Charlie's Angels, to me), Darkness, Harbinger (which seems like every other Young Adult movie being made right now), Astro City or Solar. But let's just say, Astro City won't have the budget.
[3] Maxx might be meta for the casual observer.
[4] Pitt is a Hulk ripoff. If the Hulk can't sustain a movie with his built-in fanbase, then how could Pitt ever hope to?
