At this point I'm thinking a Dept.

At this point I'm thinking a Dept. of Justice investigation may have to happen. It's not like the locals are going to police themselves.

It turns out that Orange County has a secret system of evidence manufacturing and storage that they have used in countless cases, and the collusion is unraveling dozens of cases and may soon unravel the careers of countless prosecutors and law enforcement officers who've maintained it for decades.

All those cases will have to be readjudicated, but if the judges were involved ... wow. What a mess.

Sash and I used to hang out with a couple in San Diego that worked as public defenders. They said the corruption that goes on between prosecutors and law enforcement is depressing.

Keep in mind Daily Kos is an extreme left-wing biased website, and OC is heavily Republican, so expect it to be written as such.

Steve Johnson  Orange county California is heavy Democrat (comtrary to what the papers say). and the Santa Ana jail? the people they bring in on a Friday or Saturday night are rough and cops need to be firm or they get run over.... Mexican and Asian gangs will fight instantly even the LGBT ones fight each other.

If you’re looking at the raw number of Republicans and not the percentage difference, OC has about 583,625 Republicans compared to LA County’s 1,048,507.

The OC GOP; getting it wrong again and proving themselves bad at math.

Michael Meyer I lived in Santa Ana and Lake Forest from 1978 to 2001, I guess things have changed a lot since.

Steve Johnson yes you wont recognize it any more. I grew up in OC Raced MX at Saddle back park and Escape Country in early 1970 as a young teenager. lived in Ventura County from 1989 to 2010 then moved to back to OC and OMG the place has changed spent one night in Santa Ana Jail and saw it first hand. I dont blame cops for being rough or stern at all. and when OBAMA was running everywhere on houses and cars were Obama/ Democrat sticker unlike during the Reagan Years OC was a Republican retirement place. Its amazing how much the demographics change in So. CAl in the space of 10 years..
