Using Instagram?

Using Instagram? If so, can you take a moment to report this account? I checked and it's a real account. I didn't see any nudity or anything of a sexual nature in the 3 seconds it took me to report the profile, but with a name like "Pedofiles_R_Us" I don't want to take any chances. Had it just been pictures of kids without the profile name I'd probably let it slide, but there does seem to be some sort of intent involved.

Looks like George Kastanza from Sienfeld.
I don`t think it`s real but who knows.
Why would anyone use what looks like a police mug shot and call the account that.
More likely someone else set it up as warning of a real pedo. or a joke.

Could be, Paul Lucas. I would think that a real pedo would be smart enough to not use that word in their username, but I've overestimated people before.

On second look isnt that a serial killer caught and prosecuted and convicted in the past 15 years? He worked for the town he lived in and he was a jerk on his job causing problems for people.
It was in the U.S.

I have seen him on America`s Most Wanted in the past.

The bottom line is people should quit posting public pictures of their kids.  I know, I know, we should all be able to, however, the reality is that sexual predators exist and they could be attracted to your kids.  There is no real reason to PUBLICLY post pix of kids (or yourself either for that matter).  It opens you up to victimization.
Paul Lucas said…
At least use security settings to restrict who can see them.

but Teresa Atkinson, some people don't live in a world where we're victims waiting to happen. Could it happen? Yes. Will it happen? Maybe, maybe not.
Teresa Atkinson said…
Yes.  But even our own public mug shots can be used to victimize us....
Jason ON said…
I don't live in a world which I fear. I feel sorry for you that you do.

+Jason On, then that is your mistake.  Do you also post your social security number and birth date?  How about scanning your credit cards and putting them out on Instragram.  Why don't you post those things?   Why don't you leave your wallet with cash sitting on a park bench while you go get a latte? Because doing these things opens you up to victimization.  But you'll post your face and your kids faces on the internet? which is just as likely to open you up.   This is reality, I'm talking about.
Paul Lucas said…
Its the kids that are victims.
Adults are on their own.

Teresa Atkinson, no I don't post my SSN, my card numbers or anything else that can be used to attack me directly. Refusing to use a picture of my face or children I'm related to? That's just asinine. Even if I'm not actively using them, someone is. Someone is posting pictures of a birthday party I or mine attended. Someone is posting pictures of a holiday event I or mine attended. Someone is posting pictures of a wedding I or mine attended. Now, do I post or allow posting of pictures of a sexually suggestive nature of myself or mine? Absolutely not.

Its not living in fear.
It`s common sense.
Some people do nothing till something happens.
Like house,car, life insurance.
After the fact is to late.

There is no safe place on this planet either.
Only in the land of denial - lol
You don't have to live in fear.
That should`nt stop you from covering your ass.
Teresa Atkinson said…
I have confidence that someday you'll realize just how much you're setting yourself up by doing those things.  Until then, knock yourself out.

Jason ON  is right about controlling pic posts by others.
There`s no way to stop that.

I feel like a politician.
Flip floppin on the issue.
But a good point is a good point - lol

The major difference is, I refuse to live life as a coward. I am reasonable in my online protections, but not paranoid.
