I'm tired of all the Romney bashing over something he probably didn't have control over anyway.

I'm tired of all the Romney bashing over something he probably didn't have control over anyway. It's kind of annoying and makes me think liberals really do want free handouts.

The campaign is over and they're all up in arms that campaign staffers don't have access to campaign perks anymore? Really?

This is the last thing I'm going to say on the subject.

I would think that paying for the hotel room the morning after the election that you've been at for a couple of days would be part of normal campaign expenditures.

Marty Livingston, no one mentioned hotel rooms, we're all mentioned credit cards. Not to mention, hotel rooms can be (and probably were) reserved in advance and paid for in advance.

We're talking about turning campaign credit cards off after the campaign is over.
Maybe you're right. I thought I heard paying for hotel rooms in this story somewhere but can't find that now. At least the cab ride home on election night should be covered. That much was mentioned in the Forbes article.

I'm missing a connection here. How does this, as you stated likely Romney doesn't have control over, relate to Liberals? O.o

Isn't Romney on the Republican Party? Aren't they conservative? So if Romney's people are bitching, I'm missing the "liberals want free handout" connection.

Or is it the Libs that are bashing Romney for this? I read your piece, but that wasn't very clear, and I haven't read anything yet on what is happening with this.

Forgot to add though, I agree that it's very improbable that he was micro-managing this. And I would fully expect to pay my own cab fair to and from work, which is how I relate to this. (Shrug)
Travelling from home to work, it's normal to pay your own way. But on a work related trip, cab fare from the hotel to the office is normally covered.

I'll admit, I didn't consider the "driving to and from work" aspect, especially for travelling campaign staffers. That being said, this is about campaign credit cards, not travel arrangements.

Michael Smith , what I've seen mostly is left leaning people bashing Romney because his campaign stopped staffer credit cards. Apparently, some people feel these staffers should continue to receive 'perks' even though their job is complete, which is the same 'handouts' society the Right complains too many people are taking advantage of.

Ok, that helps clarify things. I'm on a small screen tonight and away from fast access, so I'm limited in my research capabilities. Thanks for clearing it up. ;-)

No worries. I'm tired and annoyed so my reasoning isn't as clear as it should be. ;)
