Did anyone else see this? If I had $300 to kill I would totally get this for the film experience.

What's the point? Use a DSLR and turn image review off for that film-type feeling. :)

Film cameras are lighter. ;)

What's the point in a full frame when cropped sensors will grab the same image? What's the point in dSLRs when PnSes will take the same shot? What's the point in a $2000 piece of equipment with tripods and filters when you have an iPhone?
Crop sensor doesn't grab the same image. Difference in depth of field at the same aperture opening, due to the narrower angle of view. Similar answers apply to the rest of your statements. (and none of them applies to the comparison DSLR/Digipod, but I guess you know that).

If this thing replaces film, it's a full frame sensor - and they are expensive. Even more so for a small scale project like this. I have no doubt that any entry level full frame DSLR will beat Digipod in every aspect except being hip and/or quirky.
