Why is #DonaldTrump blaming the Democrats for obstructionist when he promised repeatedly that Mexico would pay for his wall?

In #TrumpNation the foolish are fooled easily.

A touch of speculation.
But, what if and it's a stretch,
He is using seized money from drug cartels that originated in Mexico?

Would that not effectively mean that Mexico is paying for it?

But we all know what happens to "seized" money anyways.

"Seized money" wouldn't pay for a mile of wall much less the entire thing.

I'm willing to bet there's a couple hundred million in seized money.
What about taxes on import and exports as well?

Same scenario.maybe not as much as the seized money though.
Its not like his popularity can falter further. I dont know if he cares at this point. The media has basically indicated Trump isn't going to get any positive press for the next 3 to 8 years so why not go all out to get the agenda he sees as important.
He knows everyone else will blink, Trump basically has the DC elite to a game of brinkmanship, and he doesn't care so he will win. He isnt a Republican he isnt a Democrat and his legacy will be gone.

Colin Fahey, a couple of hundred million, sure. http://www.businessinsider.com/san-diego-record-cash-seizure-and-drug-cartel-money-laundering-2016-8

""In 2014, law enforcement officials reported over 4,000 bulk cash seizures to the NSS totaling over $382.2 million in US Currency (USC).""

But the "wall" is expected to cost tens of billions: https://www.cnbc.com/2015/10/09/this-is-what-trumps-border-wall-could-cost-us.html

"The actual cost for the rest of the border wall (roughly 1,300 miles) could be as high as $16 million per mile, with a total price tag of $15 billion to $25 billion. Rosenblum said the $15 billion low-end estimate is "probably an underestimate," because the parts that have yet to be fenced are the most difficult — the most dense and arid. At $16 million per mile and with 1,300 miles to secure, the estimated cost would be $12 billion, and the price of private land acquisitions and maintenance of fencing could push that total cost higher.
The U.S. government would have to pay to maintain the wall, which could cost as much as $750 million a year, according to an analysis conducted by Politico. And then if it wanted to man it with personnel, that would be an additional cost — border patrol has an operating budget of $1.4 billion for 21,000 agents."

And that's, of course, relying on money and assets seized by the government, which isn't a regular amount that can be relied upon. All the Mexican cartels would have to do is move their money faster or hold on to less cash.

So, no. The drug cartels won't be paying for Trump's wall.

Part of it will be.
So my guess was about right.
I have zero doubt it's going to cost a lot, but analysts have been wrong before....
