Finally some good news.

Finally some good news. Not that the stories of courageous volunteers coming out of Houston weren't already good news, but the equipment and training the military can bring to bear, such as helicopters, water purification systems and high water vehicles, will be especially beneficial going forward.

Begrudgingly I'm going to give this one to #DonaldTrump. He is, by nature, a delegater, and we all know of his love affair with the military (I'm surprised he hasn't demanded military parades in his honor yet). There's a very good chance he said, "Get the military in there to help." Or Pence did.

Either way: good call.

Trump did, the second the mayor said we can accept the help. Trump pressured the mayor of Houston to accept the aid from the federal government.
Honestly as a Texan I can tell you he has been pitch perfect for the entire crisis. The only misstep (if it was one) was Houston where they said don't evacuate. That was a blessing to rockport in reality so even that was probably not the wrong call.
The mayor of Houston said not to, the governor said I would strongly consider it. (As much as he is allowed to say in a public address)
