You have to hand it to General Kelly. He's definitely cleaning house. The question is, will he himself survive once campaign season rolls around again? Personally, I don't believe #DonaldTrump will run far a second term, but at this point, who knows?

I do t believe they will. Generals Kelly and McMasters are soldiers, sworn to defend the Constitution. It's not in their nature's to push it aside and try to take control.

Jason ON We are no longer in normal times. It is not just Mc masters and Kelly, but maddog and all the generals at the pentagon now, and the impending (unavoidable) massive crisis this nation is going to face.

That's speculation, Terence Reale. The profiles of Kelly and McMasters suggest they have, and will continue to, operate in an objective professional fashion. I am far less concerned with the generals trying to take control than I am with Trump continuing his blatant disregard for Constitutional controls against an unfettered presidency.

Jason ON I agree about Kelly and McMaster, I think Maddox and his collegue in the pentagon are the question. How ever things play out, Trump has given the pentagon ore power, and that's likely to grow, and won't be easily taken back.

I'm shutting down Google+ for the night and quite possibly for the weekend. Why? This stupid #gifwars thing people are so proud of. This Adam Black guy said he doesn't like gifs and now everyone is mass trolling him. Having been mass trolled like this I can relate to him easily enough. Have an opinion and the collective might of Google+'s lower class denizens jump on a bandwagon. I just saw a post where someone wanted to jump on board and had to get clarification she was tagging the proper Adam Black. She wasn't even connected to him ! Nor was she a part of the original discussion. She just wanted to follow the herd. When I called her out of it she claimed, "one gif doesn't make a troll." Perhaps not, but she's contributing to a larger troll effort. One straw doesn't break the camel's back, but thousands will. So, tonight, Google+ disgusts me. It probably will tomorrow as well. And possibly Sunday. I gave up Google+ for two months this spring
