The article seems to think that a young woman shouldn't be portrayed as going after an older, powerful, confident male when, as far as anthropology is concerned, this is fairly common behavior. Case in point: all of Trump's wives, Monica Lewinsky or any of these: http://m.ranker.com/list/famous-women-who-married-older-men/celebrity-lists?var=13&utm_expid=16418821-229.FLH4oJT1R8meAGH-jDdxAQ.12

Does it change the story of Batgirl and Batman? Quite possibly. But what I find really interesting is no one talks about what happens to Barbara Gordon in The Killing Joke. Not only is she shot and crippled, but it's alluded to that she's raped by the the Joker. Will that be in this cartoon movie? Or did the WB just decide to gloss over that part?

The Killing Joke was a particularly dark time for Batman and cemented the Joker as one of the most sadistic villainous characters in comic books for all time.
