Earlier this week, or late last week, I posted something about Republicans acting for their own interests instead of for the interests of the nation. I mentioned actions in South America to make democratic presidents look incapable of dealing with our neighbors to the south, Republicans funding al-Qaeda and Iran, military coups and a number of other incidents where the GOP acted against American best interests for their own self-serving rewards.
Here's another one.
_In the four years between the sabotage and what Kissinger termed “peace at hand” just prior to the 1972 election, more than 20,000 US troops died in Vietnam. More than 100,000 were wounded. More than a million Vietnamese were killed. _
