New motorcycling hashtag for those of you have stories and pictures to share. #mymotorcyclestory  is an endeavor to raise awareness of motorcycle riders, riding and the stories that bind us all together.

Feel free to take a look ad participate. Also, there's a nifty list of motorcycle related communities in this post, as well. ;)

Calling all motorcyclists on Google+ and beyond. Please Share This Post.

Please post photographs and short videos (60 seconds or less) on My Motorcycle Story Weekend - July 25th, 26th and 27th 2014 showing your history of motorcycles and including the stories associated with them.  You can post as many photos or videos as you like - in fact the more the merrier as we are trying to get the hashtag #MyMotorcycleStory  to trend on Google+ and raise the profile and image of motorcycling here.

New to motorcycling?  That’s great because we want to hear your story of why you started riding too.  We would love to see every motorcyclist on Google+ and elsewhere posting at least one story over that weekend.  It is important to include the hashtag #MyMotorcycleStory  so that we can find your posts.

If you’re out and about on the weekend of July 25th, 26th and 27th and you see a bike like one you used to own why not take a photo of it and ask the owner how they got started?  Let’s use our online motorcycle social networking to add to our real life social networking.

The hashtag #MyMotorcycleStory  should first be used on July 25th 2014 if this campaign is to be successful. Please don’t use it before this date, thank you.

I'm shutting down Google+ for the night and quite possibly for the weekend. Why? This stupid #gifwars thing people are so proud of. This Adam Black guy said he doesn't like gifs and now everyone is mass trolling him. Having been mass trolled like this I can relate to him easily enough. Have an opinion and the collective might of Google+'s lower class denizens jump on a bandwagon. I just saw a post where someone wanted to jump on board and had to get clarification she was tagging the proper Adam Black. She wasn't even connected to him ! Nor was she a part of the original discussion. She just wanted to follow the herd. When I called her out of it she claimed, "one gif doesn't make a troll." Perhaps not, but she's contributing to a larger troll effort. One straw doesn't break the camel's back, but thousands will. So, tonight, Google+ disgusts me. It probably will tomorrow as well. And possibly Sunday. I gave up Google+ for two months this spring
