I think Google+ Will attract more users if people can register pseudonyms to hide behind. This may initiate the "facebookification" of Google+.

It will definitely spur the trolls onward. I've already seen a gluttony of trollish behavior on the Plus and aren't looking forward to more. Even since this announcement I've seen troll-style people wanting to change their name for a pseudonym. 

I suppose it's just another way to ween out the undesireables.
