The author writes as though there is only reason people leave religion. There isn't. Instead, there are dozens of reasons people the world over leave religions, the actions of those who evangelize being but one.

Yes. It's true that when discussing atheism per se, about all there is to talk about is how one left their faith (assuming they ever had any.) You're right, though, there are many reasons for that.

On the other hand, when talking about the effects of organized religion, there is an endless source of subject material.
