I've been to this gun show .

I've been to this gun show ... a few times. Never saw anything like this though. Always wondered if it would ever happen.

A gun is always loaded. Always, even if it's yours and you think you know it isn't. Even after you've checked and cleared the weapon, treat it as being loaded. You never 'flag' anyone (point the weapon at them), loaded or unloaded, real gun or airsoft replica.

That's Gun Safety 101.

(And, no, your 'long experience' with firearms doesn't exempt you. Military outposts, particularly those in combat zones, have sand barrels at the entrances of public spaces. A soldier aims their weapon into the barrel and pulls the trigger to demonstrate it's been cleared ... and there are plenty of accidental discharges.)
