If I don't know any better I take it with a grain of salt. The truth in time always shows itself with that said you can believe anything your not sure of and you can disbelieve anything your not sure of. It all gets filed on the back burner untill you know the truth. Common sense and experience is our only director. In this way you will have the most open mind about news. Making a choice to believe or not to believe before you know enough and can determine the truth will make you narrow minded. We very rarely know enough about the news to know if it is truth or fake. It is about how much you know or can learn with out making assumption. Assumptions are key if there is any assumption in it it may be fake.
93% because I don't regard one source as reliable (the survey considers that source 'sensationalist, but accurate').
We very rarely know enough about the news ...
As someone who worked in television news for 30 years, that's simply not true. There are basic questions that must be asked and answered for any story - the who, what, and where. These details are ascertainable through police reports (in the instance of a robbery or other crime) or fire department reports (in the instance of a fire or other emergency). Cameras and photographers provide a visual record.
The survey hinges on your ability to judge sources as to reliability as well as recognizing the brand names of parody sites.
This is not some arcane science. Just because FOX told you the 'mainstream media' is bad, and Donald Trump tells you it's all fake doesn't make it so, and it doesn't mean there's a level of analysis or perception that is eluding you.
Pay attention, use critical thinking, and you'll find that you know quite a bit more than you think.
So, Minnesota would rather people not be able to advance themselves without the officiating organization paying a fee, first? Do libraries have to pay a fee to lend books? Do documentaries put together by universities have to pay a fee first? If I move into the state and give away old college text books, do I have to pay a fee first? http://www.forbes.com/sites/evapereira/2012/10/19/minnesota-bans-free-online-education/
What do you do when someone you've had circled for years decides they no longer want comments on their posts and, therefore, turns them off for each new post? Keep in mind, this is supposed to be "social" media.
