Some drama in the cycling world. Apparently, thermal imaging has been used to catch cheats. There's a YouTube video in the main link that's in Italian, I think. You can watch it and maybe even understand what they're saying. I couldn't, but the point is made, regardless.

I know both these articles claim the UCI looks at bikes for cheating, but neither say they're thermal scanned.

They're not -- UCI claims 'proprietary scanning' which people claim is a system designed to find electromagnetic fields (which probably won't be present if the motor's not on) and ferromagnetic materials (which may be present, depending on what sort of motor technology they're using.)
