Ran up to the store to get something for dinner and see this CBR in the parking lot with it's lights on. At first I thought, perhaps, the rider was using his parking lights, but then I noticed the left-hand blinker was also going.

After I snap this image, I go inside and find a guy in a motorcycle jacket and ask him if that's his Honda. He says it is, to which I reply, "Dude, you left your key in the bike."

He rushed out, I'm assuming to grab his key.

No thanks, no nothing.

He probably trailers his bike...

Should have jumped on and took it around the block
I've left my key in my bike a couple of dozen times when going to work. A couple of times someone has brought me my key because they know whose bike it is, but usually I just go out and find my bike right where I left it at the end of the day.
In places with helmet laws, it's probably not that big a deal. Pretty rude not to thank somebody though.

I've left my key in the bike before, as well. Usually at home, though. Couldn't find my key for half an hour one morning, went outside to see if I dropped it somewhere the night before and found it right there in the ignition.
Jason ON done that after a long ride too.

Tyler D, sadly, I've done that too. I only play the perfect being on the internet.

There was a guy who used to often park by me and left his Suzuki in the PARK position. An easy thing to do on Suzuki's, luckily the guy who sold me my Suzuki warned me about it. My key fit into his ignition slot and worked enough to turn it to OFF. I left him a note after about the fourth time of saving his battery and he left me a thank you note back. He had no idea of the PARK position and a little wigged out that my key worked on his bike.

Left my bike in the "park" position once. Came out to a dead battery later.

Trust me, if you think it's stupid or idiotic, I've done it. It's why I have such a high capacity to shrug a lot of things off.

The advanced warning has made all the difference for me. Now leaving the key on is a different story...
