Getting ready for your midlife crisis and can't afford a Porsche or Corvette?

Getting ready for your midlife crisis and can't afford a Porsche or Corvette? Looks like Bloomberg has you covered. Of course, this article omits the running champion of midlife crisis': the Harley Davidson.

Have any you would add? I don't see any adventure tourers listed ...

I see that my FZ-09, Mister Blurple, made the list.  :-)

Of all the Ducs they pick the Scrambler! I see a theme for the list but I don't know anyone with any of those bikes except the FZ, Interceptor and 750Z. That H2 should be on the widow maker list, not mid life crisis list.
I think the Honda Fury, Interstate or Stateline should be amongst this list...just my two cents...Yes, I work for Honda! LOL
Honda Interceptor, huh?

Hmmm...10 or 15 years ago, perhaps.

Owned the original variant of that V4, the Magna - wish I still had it.

Kenneth Thompson, you're saying the Viffer isn't relevant anymore?
Nonono, Jason ON ...looks like a fun bike; I know I could splatter myself someplace quite easily on a bike like that.  :D
The power out of a V4 is really impressive - especially compared to the UJM's I had ridden previously.

That second bike, the Bandit9 Eve looks like it should belong in a museum, albeit not my cup of tea. However, I would ride it for kicks. I'd personally own the Moto Guzzi V7 Racer or the Triumph Thruxton. I could never make up my mind on which though so I'd have to win the lottery and just buy both! :-)

Viffer!!!!! Best bike ever! I love the motor......lots of torque everywhere in the revs, but the best part is the sound! It makes me want to twist the throttle constantly

That is an excellent point, The O'Sullivan Law Firm!

Right you are David. Love to hear the sound of my '85 as I twist the throttle. Nothing else sounds like a V-4

Well, the Scout made the list! Although I saw a few others I liked. Hey, what's all the ruckus about Scramblers? What makes them so appealing? Anyone?

If you have to ask... ;-)

I have no idea, Sash Walker. It's just a cafe racer. Nothing special.

Followed another post to here.... My mid-life crisis is a Street Triple, a wr450, and a kawasaki. I'm learning how to crash on the dirt before pavement.
I think the draw to the scramblers is the suv mentality. Mostly a street bike/commuter but able to go almost anywhere on a whim. I'm looking forward to getting on a demo of the ducati. Maybe a replacement for the SV.
