Looks like I'll be saving some money.

Looks like I'll be saving some money. I purchased a $99 TouchPad on Amazon last Sunday and just received the email telling me my order was cancelled due to out of stock. Geez. When I placed my order it was in stock. Oh well. I have a smart-phone and a netbook, did I really need a tablet?

Everyone needs a tablet

Yeah a tablet with no apps and no one developing new apps. Your not missing out. There is however a movement to port Android to them.

I saw that, Chris Darrow. I was wondering how that would work since Android relies heavily on it's "back" button and the TouchPad was designed with only one button, ala iPad.

I bet the hackers will create some sort of multi click system or virtual buttons.
I have a galaxy tab, way more than $99, but worth it. Android, lots internal memory, flash, and more.

EVO View tablet here. Love it. I got Ann the iPad 2 for her birthday in May, and it's just too big a form factor for me to want to carry around. The View is a 7" form factor (same size as the Galaxy Tab, but thinner and lighter), and it'll fit in a pocket. Sometimes just barely (wrangler painter's jeans have pockets that my hands barely fit in), but if I can get my hand in a pocket past the wrist, the tablet will fit comfortably.

That is how my GTab is as well. Just right for a lot of things. There are a few things I like the size of the iPad better for. But for most things I prefer the size of the GTab.
