The next installment of the #StarWars franchise will be called The Last Jedi.

The next installment of the #StarWars franchise will be called The Last Jedi.

So, what does this mean? Is this an indicator of Luke Skywalker being the last of the Jedi, or that Rey, like Luke before her, will be the first of the last?

My theory is, and I've said this before, Disney, which now owns the Star Wars rights universe will try and change the universe, to put their own mark on it and distance themselves from George Lucas as quickly as possible. The story of Rey and Fin being a sort of reboot where Disney can distance themselves from the Skywalker storyline and take the galaxy far, far away in their own direction. That's one of the reasons they killed of Han Solo and I believe it will be one of the reasons they will kill off Luke and Leia before the end of this trilogy, as well.

So: The Last Jedi. The end of an era. Will Rey be the first of a new brand of Force user? With the word "last" in the title we have to assume no new Jedi appear after her, at least. If she's the first of a new dogma then that would make Luke the last. If not, then it means Rey trains no more after her, also meaning the end of the Jedi Order.

What do you think? Is Luke the last Jedi or will it be Rey?
