A year ago, when Google deleted one of my accounts with no explanation, I contacted an attorney about how I could go about retrieving lost files from my Google Drive. He said that he's worked on several cases of Google arbitrarily deleting people's accounts, and had a lot of experience with it. He said that Google works very intimately with US government officials to identify and prosecute users violating federal laws with their Google accounts, and that there is a jaw-dropping amount of sensitive data being collected by the government. The fact that Google is telling Blogger users to delete their porn, is probably a good thing, considering Net Neutrality is going to hand even more power to the feds.
