I keep seeing posts and comments about making Circles public. Huh? I don't see any options to make circles public. I don't think I would anyway, but some people might want to.
Actually I saw something in my stream today, from somebody at Skynet that you can create a public list and actually give other people the ability to edit it by assigning a password to it. It's along the lines of a Twitter list. I haven't however seen anything that will allow you to make existing circles public. I think I like the idea of a public list for celebs, pundits, pols etc.
As long as it's op-in, I don't mind. I wouldn't want people to see my circles. I only have four (arseholes, bastards, fucking cunts, pricks) and wouldn't want anyone to find out where they fit.
I Don't think there's a way to Create a Public Circle, But you can choose to post public. I Use it sometimes to promote My Website, and sometimes Funny non- nonsensical stuff, For the People who follow me, but that I don't follow back. ( Mainly Foreigners Whom I Cant Translate on the spot ) ** No offence to those Who Don't Use English, I'm not complaining.
I hate that twitter lists are, by default, public. I do think an option on g+ to create a public circle might be useful for helping connect interests or professional groups, but I would like the implementation of such an option to be carefully thought out.
So, Minnesota would rather people not be able to advance themselves without the officiating organization paying a fee, first? Do libraries have to pay a fee to lend books? Do documentaries put together by universities have to pay a fee first? If I move into the state and give away old college text books, do I have to pay a fee first? http://www.forbes.com/sites/evapereira/2012/10/19/minnesota-bans-free-online-education/
What do you do when someone you've had circled for years decides they no longer want comments on their posts and, therefore, turns them off for each new post? Keep in mind, this is supposed to be "social" media.
