Unfortunately there are also too many situations where Democrats play along. Financial crisis? Bailouts? Wars? The Democrats as a party pretty much suppress any serious change, because too many of them have adjusted to the system that fills their pockets. I wonder if those in the party who want to improve it will succeed - or if another party is needed for that.

The writer of this article, for one, shows his love and preference for the Democratic Party, and thus two, fails to see how it's still controlled by the Clinton machine. I think the latter is why the Party is failing; it failed to acknowledge that America had moved to greater extremes than what the Clinton's had anticipated. The Republican Party was no different, it too was trying to back stodgy characters like Jeb Bush and Ted Cruz, only to be gifted by accident the knowledge of where it's electorate had moved to. The Democratic Party electorate is with Bernie Sanders and the rejection of representative government and the favor of pure democracy. Yet, as long as the Clinton Foundation holds all the money, the Democratic Party will continue to be ripped apart.
