I worked there for 1 month and realized it was NOT where I wanted to be.
They paid me money which in turn paid off my student loans.

Genuinely interested in why ya'll hated working there? I dislike their business practices of late but I have several software engineer friends that work there and the free gadgets, perks, benefits, and pay appear to be top notch.
Jeremy Swigart , in my case it was being female.  Some of the real aholes were H1-Bs, but a lot were garden-variety Americans who should know better than to grab a co-worker's ass.

On damn that sucks. Sorry on behalf of my sex. No excuses for that shit.

There were various factors for me, including the 45 minute commute each direction (while commuting with a coworker in the HOV lanes), the fact that I was hired as an "SDET" but was tasked with manual testing & software deployments (not where I wanted my career to be/go), the pay was just OK and the working conditions weren't that awesome. The fact that I'm a Linux & F/LOSS advocate really made me feel like I was working for the enemy.
