It is International Book Week.

It is International Book Week.
The rules: Grab the closest book to you, turn to page 54, post the 5th sentence as your status. Don't mention the title.

Unlike some of the more militant defenders of the faith on the continent, the clergy of Ireland humbly accepted the violence of the barbarians as inexplicable expressions of the will of God.

LOL, no. I know I'm not supposed to reveal the title, but I reached blindly into the shelf and came out with Mary Chestnut's Civil War: "But bad women, if they are not white or in a menial capacity, may swarm the house unmolested."

I think I'll reach for another book.

Jason ON which book are you reading?

Right now, tricked http://goo.gl/BC0Vy, but that quote is from another book.

That one looks interesting. Will add it to my list. :)

You should probably read the preceding 3 first. ;)

Ooh! A Series! even better
Jason ON said…
Yeah, look for the Iron Druid series. About the last druid living in Phoenix. It's no Dresden, but it's not bad. It's fast and easy.

If you like other recommendations, have you read Brent Weeks "The Night Angel Trilogy"?
Jason ON said…
Yes, I have. Plus the first book of his other series.

The Lightbringer series is also good. I'll have to reread the first before the new one is out since it's been a while

If you like Brent Weeks, you should read Brandon Sanderson, if you haven't already.
