Have you seen the new MySpace?

Have you seen the new MySpace?

One of the reasons I left MySapce in favor of FB was all the "customization." I didn't mind the backgrounds or UI personalizations, but the auto-play of songs, videos and photoalbums annoyed the heck out of me.

This looks nice. Sort of like if Google+ and Pinterest had a bastard step-child. ;)

Woah....New myspace....and I like it. Looks like the tablet/mobile version of Google+ a bit...but in the browser.

Made me put my email address in for an invite. But then again.....I love private beta invite only things.
Interesting.  I'm looking forward to seeing how it actually pans out...but from the preview, the revamp looks fantastic.

I think so Shannon Dillavou and I think they can really take the music scene again.....I think there should be something innovative in that space.

I'm with Lark LaTroy for slightly different reasons. Sure, it does look nice, but that's mainly because they filled the preview up with nice shots taken by professional photographers. Now, imagine the same space filled with godawful cheese-shots, ugly people, and animated GIF's, and "funnny" pics. Gack!

In any case, UX doesn't change with fashion. Does nobody remember what Uncle Jakob taught us about horizontal scrolling interfaces. Baaad. Very baaaaaad.

You have to remember, MySpace is under new new ownership. Fox sold it off, what, last year? The year before?

Google always uses their employees' accounts to show off their new features, why shouldn't MySpace show off a celebritiy's?

Jason ON They can show off their employees in their underwear for all I care. That doesn't change the fact that Johnny Average is going to have crappy photos in their profile. From what I saw, it was the images that made the new MySpace twinkle. With less-than-stellar imagery, it's going to smell like a big wet fart.

Luigi Buscemi Tom was my friend on G+, but now he's more concerned with running around with his bajillions on display. It's funny how money changes people...

I'm shutting down Google+ for the night and quite possibly for the weekend.
