Hey, Google!

Hey, Google!

I use bookmarks.google.com for storing bookmarks instead of my browser. You know what would be cool? If, when I'm logged in and I search, those websites are annotated as being in my bookmarks, or especially, if those sites are searched for the search terms before the rest of the web. That way I can search in one place instead of searching in bookmarks first and then the web as a whole.

Thanks,

Jason ON Good idea but I'm curious as to why you don't use Google Chrome .

I use Chrome, I just don't log into it.

Why not just log in? I think it's insanely nice to have all of my stuff load onto another computer when I get on Chrome work/school.

Which is why I keep it in the cloud. ;) I don't even need Chrome to make it work, but an internet connection.

Very true. Which is where I can see it becoming handy. Just seems like an extra step when I already use chrome. I have a way to extend you idea now though.
When you use chrome (when signed in) your stuff gets saved to cloud to be brought down whenever/whereever. How about uploading the bookmarks to www.bookmarks.google.com so you can get the bookmarks from any browser? the bookmarks would go both ways of course. You add a bookmark to chrome it goes to bookmarks.google.com, you add a bookmark to bookmarks.google.com it goes to chrome.

Btw I now HATE the word bookmark(s)...

I do use bookmarks.google.com and the whole point is not browser specific to work. Even if the bookmarks in Chrome were backed-up to the cloud, one would still need Chrome for your idea to work, Josh Hassa.

My way is browser independent;

That's what I mean. Say since I use chrome my bookmarks in chrome get backed up to bookmarks.google.com so when I'm somewhere without chrome I still have them. and Vice versa.

I vote for it if it's browser-independent.
