So, my cellphone just died. It was working fine then I took Charlie (my roommate's dog) for a walk. While out walking I was recording some video and poof! it died. As far as I know it had plenty of battery left, but I figured I'd plug it in when I got home.
I got home about two and a half hours ago and no charging or turning on has happened yet, even though it's been plugged in this entire time.
No bueno!
I use my phone as an alarm clock and my company's email is set up to send texts as two-factor authentication. When I tried logging into GVoice to get my SMS once Google wouldn't let me log in from the company's desktop. I can't remember what the denial was, but I couldn't log in.
Gah!

I thought it would be "cold shock" but I've had this device for two and a half years. It's been the cold, the hot and everywhere else with me and this has never happened.
Plugging it in doesn't even give me the LED to indicate it's charging.
The power button's been broken for a few months, so anything with the power button won't work. I tried a force-boot by holding the volume rocker down while plugging it into the laptop. It worked once before but not this time.
I stopped by one of those CPR places after work today (https://www.cellphonerepair.com/castle-rock-co/about/) and although the website says "free diagnositcs") and the kid wanted to charge me $35 to diagnose the problem then costs of repair. Um, no.
TMobile will be getting the OnePlus 6 soon so I might hold out for that device. I thoroughly enjoyed by OnePlus 1 and have no problem buying that brand again.
The guy at the TMo store tried to get me to sign up for the LG V40 pre-order stating it had "5 cameras", but I don't need 5 cameras. A single front and a single back camera work fine. Everything else is just a gimmick.
I really wish I could get a few more months out of my current device, but at this point I don't even know what's wrong and therefore don't know what it'll take to fix it.
