Low of 59....ha!

Low of 74 here.

Yes, wear the leather and sweat a pound or two away!

I decided to cage it. Leather jacket plus backpack was going to be miserable.

Only 13% humidity, throw on some wicking base layers and mesh armor, it'll be like AC as long as you're moving. :-)

(grumble) Just realized that G+ is showing this to me right now, but this was yesterday. :-/
Michael Smith That's okay; probably still hot up by Jason ON today as well.

It was a little warmer today. Denver hit about 107°.

107F seemed hot to me, until I lived in Bahrain for a year. I would have given just about anything for a day that cool in the summer! Nothing like a 140F day to make you appreciate a 100F night!

Todd Green that sounds hellish.
No official weather reading has ever been that high on Earth though. I grew up in the desert, not far from the world-record hottest spot, actually. Have been in 120 plenty of times but not 140.
If you measure in the sunlight though, I'm sure I believe you experienced 140. Official readings are taken under a shade. Also, if you measure the ground instead or measured the inside of a closed up car, I'd believe 180. Have successfully fried egg on the ground.
Hellish, nonetheless.

Bryce Miller you are technically correct! I was referring to the heat index, actually (how it feels). The shade temperature was about 50C+ (~ 120F) with 99.9% humidity. Breathing was painful, like a sauna that is just stuck in the on position! Bahrain in the late 1990's ;-)

Todd Green that actually sounds worse than hellish.

It is difficult to believe or even imagine without being there. It is oppressive. There is no escape! You can only hide indoors in the AC for so long! But also valuable. Nowhere feels hot now. 100F with low humidity? Slightly uncomfortable warmth. All experience is relative!
