Religious or not, is the mind so semi-porous that the "voices in our heads" mean other beings are jetting their own words into our individual cognition? Are those "voices" a psychological condition brought on by biology or the words of separate entities using early biblical characters as their mouth pieces?

Do you hear voices?

Needless to say, I disagree with pretty much Kugel's entire premise, but you may not.
