So is this a coming out party or some thing? Congratulations, I hope your new found bravery and life style is filled with joy.
Sounds reasonable. Jealousy applied to sexuality when someone can't stand to see another be happy doing something one grew up seeing as improper or less than ideal. But we can see this in other aspects of life, like career choices or dress codes. For example "my parents always wanted me to be a doctor, but I'd rather have been an artist", or "look at how terrible those punks dress up, why can't they just dress ' normal'".
It would be great if the study explored more into personal goals and achievements of homophobes that are not related to gender. How much these goals represent their true identity, desires and dreams in life, our are they a means to satisfy a socially imposed agenda.
