More troubles for the would-be president, but does anyone care?

More troubles for the would-be president, but does anyone care? We all know the Republicans aren't going to call him out on it and the GSA will answer to him, so will be less likely to call the clause into question.

Trump Can't Keep Lease on His Hotel in D.C.

Donald Trump's election as president means he can't lease Trump International Hotel from the government in Washington D.C. The lease on the government's historic Post Office Pavilion with Trump states,

"No ... elected official of the Government of the United States ... shall be admitted to any share or part of this Lease, or to any benefit that may arise therefrom ..."

LOL....Sounds like Ivanka just got herself a hotel.

Steven L. Schooner and Daniel I. Gordon write for Government Executive, "The language could not be any more specific or clear. Donald Trump will breach the contract on Jan. 20, when, while continuing to benefit from the lease, he will become an 'elected official of the Government of the United States.'"

Schooner and Gordon write, "The government should immediately end the hotel lease relationship, before Trump becomes president. In a perfect world, Trump and the GSA would negotiate a mutually agreeable termination of the lease or a novation/transfer to an unrelated firm. Nothing thus far suggests that President-elect Trump appreciates the need to do so. As a result, GSA must take unilateral action."

LOL...Umm haven't you noticed? He doesn't care. Rules don't apply to him.

What's going to happen? The people he just hired are going to prosecute him?

He'll ignore this rule just like he does all the rest.

And the Trumplings will happily ignore him ignoring this law.

Then he'll blame the meeeeedia.
