The last third of this article is the most important. As long as the #POO (Party of Obstruction) has no problem with violating the norms of respectful politicking then the Left will always be outgunned.

And that’s the real point. Republicans have absolutely no problem breaking any norm in their path to power. They turned the filibuster from a seldom-used tool to a routine exercise. Tom DeLay saw advantage in doing a second redistricting in Texas in 2003 to pick up extra GOP seats, even though states normally redistrict every 10 years; he succeeded. Congress typically passes the debt limit without comment, but Republicans took the country to the brink of its first default, extracting concessions in the process. A minority of the Senate prevented the confirmation for years of any director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau simply because they didn’t like the agency. The opposition party would never attempt to conduct foreign policy that differed from the president’s, until Republican senators tried it before the Iran deal.

We want government to work, to make lives better. A lot of Republicans think government is the problem and their goal is to crash the federal government. At that point, it's like being locked in a car with a suicide bomber and trying to have an argument.

Jason ON do you really believe this?

Talk about the party of obstruction, as if all the spoiled self entitled brats running around crying because they found out their kind of stupid is special and they are the minority in the nation. But the ignorance won't stop them from protesting democracy. Sore losers, the lot of 'em.

I'm a democrat and I voted for Trump because Hillary proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that she was less than truthful to the American public with their campaign promises and the self dealing and pay to play uncovered in the emails was a big part as well. Things would have been different if Sanders was allowed to win the primary as he should have.

Hillary Clinton is to blame for all of this.

Placing blame one one aspect is naïve at best, but then again, most of the stuff you post is naïve at best, so I guess it's par for course.

But yes, I believe the GOP spent eight years being the Party of Obstruction. One glaring example is the SCotUS nomination of Garland. Obama went out of his way to find a moderate for the court and not a liberal. The GOP refuses to even hold hearings on the nomination. That's obstruction.

Jason ON nope, that is politics. The senate has the responsibility to approve the justices, you are just crying like a little girl because they don't accept his nomination which is telling him to go back and pick some one else. Is he doing that? Nope. So who is obstructing the American people now? Obama.

I just wish you were a little smarter and a little less of a tool, bur then again you were a Hillary supporter, and we see that was a bad side to be on. Lol.
