You want to think it's satire, but it's not. Let me break it down for you anyway:

You want to think it's satire, but it's not. Let me break it down for you anyway:

1 - Congress passes a bill allowing Americans to sue Saudi Arabia for supporting terrorism.

2 - Obama, who has been vocally against the bill, vetoes it.

3 - Congress overrides Obama's veto and makes the bill a law.

4 - Backlash ensues.

5 - The passage of the law was obviously Obama's fault, per the GOP POO for two reasons:

(a) Obama didn't educate Congress properly
(b) Obama didn't participate in the legislative process.

Yes, their argument is that the President didn't educate the legislature because Congress shouldn't have to know anything unless the president tells them. And, apparently, Congressional Republicans are upset that the Executive isn't participating enough in Legislative matters.

Yes, you read that right. The POO party is now claiming they couldn't do their jobs appropriately because Obama didn't stop them.

Errrrrr....... You do realize that override vote was 97-1, right?

If that's not what bipartisanship looks like........ :(

Don't make it about the GOP. It's not.

Regan G. Don't worry. We hold the Democrats who voted responsible too. But they didn't hold a press conference and blame him for not informing them off what it was that they vetoed.

That specific action is Mitch McConnell demonstrating leadership of his party.

Reid... who is retiring was the one vote against the override. I call the remainder cowards because they went with what will be defensible when they run for reelection.

Sanders merely abstained. I'm disappointed.

But... McConnell is driving a clown car.

And Turtle McConnell is also famous for saying on record he'll oppose anything Obama wants. I feel that Obama could have held classes with daily quizzes and it would have made no difference.

They created the adversarial relationship that they demonstrated that day. They own that.

Daniel Chapman General rule of thumb: when it's 97-1, there is no reason to complain; you're literally going up against what the entire country wants. Even if you're right, you're spitting into the wind.

Note: Sanders and Kaine were the abstainers; were both on the road for Hillary at the time.

The theory going around is that the Republican party tried to corner the dems into an unpopular position ahead of the election and it didn't work, the dems called their bluff and gave them the bill they asked for, now neither can backtrack. Plan B is to blame the president for not hand holding them through their day job.

It makes sense because there is no other reason they'd regret it so quickly, it's not like they've got new information now that they didn't have a few days ago.

Obama has asked for everything he gets. Overridden the Congress, the laws, the Constitution and the people. He bragged about himself, his pen, and his phone. That's not the way America is set up.

It's not so much Republican/Democrat. It looks like they all are getting fed up with his rules.

Ann M. Exactly. If you keep poisoning wells, you eventually poison those of your allies.

Regan G. Not only was it bipartisan clearly the person who wrote the commentary is hyper partisan and juvenile at best calling the GOP the POO party and apparently never outgrew his potty mouth phase.

Such is the much vaunted intelligence of the liberal left ...
