Wow.

Wow. Imagine: sitting in your own home and you hear a noise. You stick your head out the door to see what's going on and suddenly find yourself face-to-barrel with multiple guns. No one identifies themselves, there's just a lot of screaming and demands.

Sixteen to 19 cops responded to this call, weapons drawn, about a single person who might have broken into the home. How many cops does Santa Monica have that it can justify sending 16 to 19 for a single call?

Pistols drawn before the first words are even exchanged, even before it's been determined that a crime has even been committed?

And the police wonder why no one trusts them.

It is completely understandable that this poor woman is totally traumatized.  She literally looked in the face of death and was one of the lucky ones to walk away.  And what kind of shitty person is the guy who called the cops on her in the first place?  Seeing him on a regular basis has to be one of the worst things ever.

Some times I think the cops are just bored and need to get together for a coffee break. Must have been that time of day. Not a good story. Wonder if she could charge the neighbor with harassment.

Susan Daniels she probably has a case, but I'd guess the last thing she wants to do is have more confrontation and hostility.

Sounds like she's a fighter, to me. She confronted the armed gunmen without knowing who they were, she badgered the police until they gave names and audio and she took to making her story known. I think she can handle some confrontation and hostility.

Oh, I have no doubt she could handle it just fine.  I just don't think she'd want to.
