Mob rule goes digital.

Crowdsourcing investigations is a noble cause and have a lot of benefits and successes. However, this was not a success and could have directly influenced this young man's death.

Sort of too late to apologize, assuming he committed suicide or was murdered for it. (And assuming this story is true... this is the internet) People really shouldn't do a guessing game for terror suspects.

Wait, the article says that he hasn't been seen since March 15th, a month before everything happened. So he has been missing, and possibly dead, since mid-March and only found now.

If that's true, then the false accusations didn't contribute to his death, though they did create grief and pain for a family with a missing person.

One has to assume, Michael Smith , if he was dead for more than a week they would have been able to verify that by now.

However, you're right. Without a definitive date, there is no way to correctly make a correlation.
