My suggestion would be: Shoot/hang/electrocute any American with an IQ under 100 who has any form of opinion about how the Constitution should be changed because of something they believe but cannot prove.

I think you are over-estimating the benefits of intelligence. Those with IQs over 100 can easily rationalize themselves into some completely absurd views too.

Kevin C. yes, they can but those under 100 are prone to believe simply what those around them tell them to believe. It's not people with high IQ's that churches are full of.

Reverend Eric Ha Actually, it is. I couldn't easily find studies of churchgoers specifically, so I'll substitute non-atheist for churchgoer. The average intelligence difference between atheists and non-atheists is only 6 IQ points. That still means somewhere in excess of 40% of churchgoers are going to have IQs over 100.

That graph is from the exact same Wikipedia article I got the difference of 6 IQ points, I focused on the figure that measured individuals not averages though. "Firstly, using data from a U.S. study of 6,825 adolescents, the authors found that atheists scored 6 IQ points higher than non atheists." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Religiosity_and_intelligence#Studies_comparing_religious_belief_and_I.Q.

That graph shows average IQ across a country, so does not address this question very well. That the averages for religious countries are so high implies that there are still a lot of people with IQs above 100 being included.

IQ is distributed roughly along a bell curve, though the distribution is a little flatter in the middle. In order for the average to only be 6 points lower, most of the IQ scores above average must still be present in the non-atheist set.

I'm shutting down Google+ for the night and quite possibly for the weekend.

I'm shutting down Google+ for the night and quite possibly for the weekend. Why? This stupid #gifwars thing people are so proud of. This Adam Black guy said he doesn't like gifs and now everyone is mass trolling him. Having been mass trolled like this I can relate to him easily enough. Have an opinion and the collective might of Google+'s lower class denizens jump on a bandwagon. I just saw a post where someone wanted to jump on board and had to get clarification she was tagging the proper Adam Black. She wasn't even connected to him ! Nor was she a part of the original discussion. She just wanted to follow the herd. When I called her out of it she claimed, "one gif doesn't make a troll." Perhaps not, but she's contributing to a larger troll effort. One straw doesn't break the camel's back, but thousands will. So, tonight, Google+ disgusts me. It probably will tomorrow as well. And possibly Sunday. I gave up Google+ for two months this spring
